Driving down the interstate, all of a sudden my heating/cooling would shut off along with my radio. Then it would come on. It did this several times. Shortly after that, my turn signals no longer worked and it caused me to almost get in an accident. I was driving approximately 65-70 mph. It continued to do this even after stopping. A week later, as I got up to go to work in the morning, it wouldn't start. It would just click when attempting. It wasn't sending the signal to the starter to get it going. I was stranded. I feel like my vehicle is possessed and it's really scary.
Driving at 15 mph all of a sudden panel lights turned off, speed and rpm indicators turned off, air conditioner off, power windows would not work. Turn signals, headlamps and brake lamps did not work. Engine was still on so I pulled to the side and restarted the car a few times until all power was restored.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the windshield wipers would activate independently whenever the vehicle was in operation. The contact disabled the fuse in order for the wipers to become inoperative. In addition, both turn signals and high beam headlights failed to function. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 89,528.
When driving vehicle, the power in the car goes out. This includes lights, turn signals, ac or heat, radio, emergency signals, etc. In order to rectify this, I must pull over, turn the engine off, and re-start the car. This happens intermittently but as of late, it is happening very frequently. A star case has been opened with Chrysler. The car has been diagnosed twice by a Chrysler dealer (Aug 2013 and may 2014). The problem could not be diagnosed and have been told that "it is working as designed".
