We bought out Dodge Journey new with 26 miles on it in Nov. 2011. I would say at around 5,000 miles we started hearing a loud squealing from the front brakes and a little bit of vibration in the steering wheel. So on our next service date on 4/3/12 with 6,746 miles on it we asked them to check the brakes out. They told us maybe a rock or something but they did not see anything physically wrong with the brakes. So we drove it with the brakes squealing getting worse for a few months. We took a road trip and went to hit the brakes and there was almost no brake and a violent shaking to the wheel. The very next day on 7/18/12 we took it to the dealer again and again we got the same answer. Knowing how the brakes did not work and was putting my family in danger I told them there was something wrong with the brakes to fix them. About an hour later I got a phone call stateing that they were going to be replacing the front brakes and rotors and that I was just inside my 12,000 mile warranty with 11582 miles on our Journey. Since they have replaced the brakes and rotors we are starting to get noises on and off again and this time we heard a loud popping sound from the brakes. We took it to the dealer again and again nothing wrong with the brakes. Because of what happened last time I took it to an outside mechanic to visually look at the brakes and confirmed the brakes were once again with less than 3000 miles on them digging into the rotors, and the rotors are blue from getting to hot which can cause premature brake wear and failure. We have had it to two different dealers trying to get the problem fixed before my family or someone else gets seriously hurt. We keep getting the same answer we can not duplicate the noise and we physically see nothing wrong.
