Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, downhill, and depressing the vehicles brake pedal that the abs (anti-lock brake system) warning indicator illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle would also hydroplane in the rain. The contact stated that the vehicle would exhibit decreased stopping power due to the braking failure. The contact also complained of a loud abnormal humming noise coming from the engine when the vehicle is started. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis, however the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic) but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Wh.
