My abs, traction control light, and brake light are on on the dash. When I tried to use cruise control the other day it wouldn't turn off. Now it's not working at all and the brakes locked up in the rain the other day and as soon as it dried up outside the issue went away. But now the brake module under the hood seems to be leaking and my oil cooler on top of the engine.
I was driving my [xxx] daughter was sitting in the passenger seat and out of the blue the head rest just popped and hit her in the back of the head the headrest cushion is dislodge from the plastic on the back part of the headrest information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
We were driving down the interstate and my vehicle caught fire, there were no warnings on the dash and the vehicle was driving fine. Luckily someone pulled us over to let us know that something was getting on their windshield. . . Some kind of fluid. . . Were not sure what. After pulling over we seen fire dropping out from under the vehicle and within 5 minutes the vehicle was completely engulfed.
I only owned vehicle for 2 weeks. The vehicle stalls while driving, unable to brake or steer. After a few seconds and a fee times trying to restart, car restarts engine light comes on and displays no codes. Light goes off after a few hours. Mechanics are unable to diagnose. Almost rear ended in middle of busy street.
About 3 months ago my check engine light and abs lights are permanently on and I barely have any drive power. I have fixed all possible issues and the lights are both still on and I don’t have much drive power while I drive.
Both of my headrest deployed without no accident. They just popped out.
Thermostat hose & something with the transmission as well. Speed not doing what it’s supposed to do.
I keep getting a navigation map update warning. When I try to update the map data I am told by Dodge that the map updates are no longer available. I expect to pay for the updates and the fact that they are not available is causing issues. When currently using the nav system I have found that road exists that are supposed to be on the left road side have changed to the right. This caused sudden lane changes and has the potential of causing accidents, as stated I expect to pay for the updates and not have them available is a safety issue.
The front passenger headrest deployed for no reason. No hit or collision occurred.
I am currently having an issue where my climate control turns itself on even after I turn it off. Just recently my dual control for the climate would switch back to single even after selecting to have it dual. At this moment my air/heat is always on and I really have no need to keep the windows down unless it gets too warm and I need to let cooler air in.
Faulty keyless ignition node.
My vehicle floods constantly, I’ve had it fixed 4 times, I believe it floods through moon roof.
Between 2020-2023, my car has completely shut off while driving down the road. I lose all power steering and the ability to use the gas and brake pedals. When this happens there is no warning light at all. Every time I’ve taken it to the dealership they can’t figure out the problem and it keeps happening. In total it has probably shut off on me 20-30 times. It doesn’t matter the situation or how fast I’m going, it just shuts off and stops working. I believe my car starting doing this anywhere from 145,000-180,000 miles. When I get to the side of the road after coasting with what I have left I turn the car off and then back on and it starts right back up no problem. I’m sick and tired of dealing with this and absolutely no one can figure it out. I’ve put so much money into this car and quite frankly it’s a death trap and I know that others with my vehicle are having the exact same problem. Why hasn’t this car been recalled? my children and I could literally die because I may not have time to get over on the road.
Our anti-lock brake system is failing code c2200-49.
Drivers side headrest deployed without warning and without a crash. Internal plastic clips broke causing deployment. Thankfully I was only sitting in the car and not driving. It is a powerful jolt to the back of the head.
The anti-locking braking system, electronic stability control & braking warning lights stay on all the time. I have absolutely no traction at anytime. The worse incident occurred when I was headed down a mountain and it had just started to rain. I could not slow the car down. I started at 35 mph at the top of the mountain and was at 60 mph by time I got at the bottom of it. Every time I barely touched the brakes the car started fishtailing. I notice the no traction mainly when there are wet roads. I can tell I have not traction at times even on dry roads but lots worse when they are wet. I have noticed in many searches that the abs/esc being disabled is a common recall for the 2015 Dodge Journey; however, when I enter my VIN number to my car it states it is not included in this recall. I would like to know how recalls work and why my car would not be included. I have been watchin recalls hoping that my car would be included because I am still making payments on this vehicle and do not have money to fix this issue. This is my main means of travel and I am extremely nervous driving with no traction. I'm considering getting rid of this vehicle because I do not feel it is safe to drive.
We went to get in our vehicle and the headrest had deployed while no one was in the vehicle. It has not been in an accident.
Back of the headrest deployed by itself.
I came out to my vehicle to find that the head rest had separated, in which the night before it was perfectly intact.
Nhtsa recall 15v675000 was performed by the Dodge dealer in 2016. Braking control system failures were recently indicated by dash panel warning lights. Independent mechanic verified water intrusion, corrosion and electrical short circuits. Remedial repairs by independent mechanic did not solve the problem. I contacted dealer service who verified the complaint in Jun 2021, but Chrysler corporation declined to cover the costs of the proper repair. I contend their abs and/or esc system failures are due to their defective design and that Chrysler is still responsible to restore the vehicle to a safe operating condition.
The driver head rest deployed my car was parked in the garage, no incident or anything. I came out to the car to go to the store and it was open and I can’t get it back in.
There is a recall on 2015 Dodge Journeys for the wiring on the abs system that causes the wires to get corroded and the abs not working. I have recently had the issue described in the recall yet my vehicle does not qualify for the recall and my local Dodge repair center want me to pay 1800. 00 to repair something that should be fixed under the recall and now I have a vehicle that I can not drive or I risk having an accident.
Transmission is slipping had it looked at several time and cant find anything had the oil checked and its still good.
The front driver side headrest deployed for no reason. Vehicle was parked in driveway. The small plastic piece is broken wont go back in.
The car shut off anywhere and all the time has almost been killed because of this issue.
While driving straight to work last night,I heard a loud pop. The pop was almost as loud as a gun going off beside my face. It scared me,because I was unsure what had just occurred. I looked over and noticed my headrest on passenger side had popped in half and unable to be pushed back into place. Luckily,my oldest child or husband wasn't with me,or it would probably would have caused an injury,or at least some soreness. I'm not sure if this is a recall, but seems like it should be,especially if nothing triggered it. Please ensure this issue gets sorted out. Thank you for your time.
I have been having electrical issues since I bought the car new. Car will not start at time, blown fuses, bad cooling fans, pcm issues, tcm issues, fuse junction box issues. Car is currently at the laredo Dodge dealer being fixed and they are having hard time fixing my car. 2015 Dodge Journey with only 55k miles on it.
I went to turn on my car and it was completely dead, and the key would not open the car. Someone came to help and checked the battery which was fully working perfectly, but the car was completely dead still, no power running anywhere. I went to google the problem and like me there hundreds of people who have gone through the same problem. It seems that the car goes into locked-down mode by itself unless you disconnect the battery and the computer reboots there's nothing that will make it work. Locally this happened in my building's parking lot, I did unhook the battery which rebooted the computer and the car turned on.
When accelerating it has a hesitation like the fuel supply shuts off befriefly or it is misfiring or something that is causing me to not be able to accelerate up to speed when taking off or during driving. It has happened multiple times over the past several months.
I was driving my car on i95 when I noticed it was not handling well and was making a noise. I could also feel a vibration under my feet. We made an appointment at central maine motors in waterville, maine first thing Tuesday morning who told me the power steering cooler was leaking. In doing research if found s08 recall on 2011-2016 Dodge Journeys power steering coolers. My car does have a 3. 6 l engine and this should have been taken care of when I bought the vehicle. In reading the recall and given the circumstances I could have been hurt as this went while I was driving and does in fact increase the chances of crashing.
The switch on my cruise control went out on my 2015 crossroad Dodge Journey only 39000 miles on it.
My ac will unsync itself and when I hit sync it unsync again. Also if I turn it off it will turn it back on. I dont know what is going on but I see that I am not the only one. I am scared been happening for months.
I put the category as "unknown" because I dont know what exactly it falls under besides stupidity. My car began over heating last week. That was frustrating on top of all of the other problems including the constant jerking from the crap abs system. I put radiator fluid in and 2 days later, it began smoking like crazy. At least, what I thought was smoke. Apparently what it actually was, was the t shaped house that leads to the radiator and is run right along side the heating coil is made of plastic. The heating coil had melted a hole in it, causing the radiator fluid to spray on everything under the hood. We go and fix that, by the way, $80 for a 5 inch piece of hose is insane, and come back, car works for 2 days and dies. Battery is dead. Take the battery off and go replace it, get it on the car, start it, boom, starter goes out. One thing after another. I'm taking it to trade in and will never buy another Dodge. There was no risk in that anyway after the dealership never wanting to honor a single warranty detail even though it was supposedly "ground up".
Car shuts off while driving at any speed. It shits off while parked or stopped at a stoplight. The car will not turn back on. Sometimes it take about 30 minutes and it will restart but will only run for about 5-10 minutes. When trying to start the car, we press the brake and then the start button and the car violently jerks as it tries to start, but will not turn over. It has happened since we bought the car March 2019 but the dealership wont take the car back or trade it for something else.
Grandson leaned on passenger headrest and it deployed! won't go back together and no idea what to do with it?.
