When it rains the abs, traction control lights and service all wheel drive lights come on and the cruise control does not work . Next day soon as I drive all lights go out. It is happening more and more. . Thier is a recall for 2015 Dodge Journey for this but they say not for mine. Funny that I have same problems and same year car. This happens when driving in the rain or wet roads.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. While driving approximately 25 mph on wet pavement, all the warning indicators on the instrument panel illuminated and the brakes locked. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined that the anti-lock brake system module and hydraulic control assembly were damaged and needed replacement. The vehicle was towed to dave dennis Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep (4232 colonel glenn hwy, dayton, OH 45431) where it was determined that water entered the anti-lock brake system and shorted the abs module and hydraulic control assembly, which needed replacement. The contact also received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 15v675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
Precisely on 7. 3. 19 I had 4 of my children with me heading to a holiday parade. My car w/o warning completely stopped in the middle of a road. No power, no brakes, no steering. Air was still blowing; radio still playing. My daughter and I pushed my car to the curb, my husband came and pushed my car further to avoid an accident. After several attempts the car restarted and restarted fine. Drove another . 5 city block; stopped at a stop sign, pulled out and my car died again in the middle of the intersection. My husband was still behind me & pushed us out. We drove home. He looked under the hood, nothing stood out. I didn't get any warnings on the dash. The car has driven fine until 7. 5. 19. My daughter and I just turned onto calumet Ave; a very busy and dangerous road and my car died again. Several cars flying around us laying on their horn. I do not have power to turn, to brake. My daughter and I got out and push my car into a parking lot that has a slight uphill entrance. It was not easy, it was dark outside. A very dangerous situation. I can only flip my hazard lights on, well what does that do when a car is flying up behind me at 40-50mph? I am terrified my car is going to die and my family and I are going to get seriously hurt and/or killed. Reading on the internet there seems to be many people with the same issue and Dodge is not responding. I have children who require trips to indianapolis for medical issues and it is a 3-4 hour drive for us. Speed limit is 70. I cannot afford to trade this in and purchase a new car. I do not where else to go for help. If you call a mechanic or the dealership they tell you that can't help without looking at it. Dodge dealer denies ever hearing of it before which I don't believe. Neither of course will do a free inspection. I get it they're there to make money. Recall should be issued to fix this before it becomes deadly.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. While driving various speeds, the abs and traction control warning indicators illuminated. Also, while braking at speeds over 45 mph, the braking distance was extended. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 71,600.
The abs and esc alarm and warning lights came on at the same time, while I was driving and I had just applied the brakes for a car turning left that was in front of me.
I was driving down the interstate when my abs and traction control light came on. I seen where my vehicle is not covered under the recall. I have a 2015 with only 44105 miles. It will cost me several hundreds dollars to have it fixed.
The antilock brake system (abs) control module failed. There was a recall on the abs control module for this vehicle model and production year. But Chrysler claims this particular abs module is not related to the recall and that it is due to a short in the module. I share this information so you can investigate to determine if there is another issue with abs modules. Anti lock brakes are a safety feature that help prevent accidents. If the control modules are failing on vehicles that are only 3 years old that seems like more than coincidence. Could there be a correlation between safety recall r61 issued in December 2015 and the failure of the abs module in this vehicle?.

Kendall Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of soldotna (44055 sterling hwy, soldotna, ak 99669, (866) 387-9070) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. When accelerating vehicle pulls more one way (right). When at steady speed vehicle holds direction but if getting on the freeway or accelerating after stopping, I have to strongly correct the vehicle's direction. Concerned there is a possibility of brakes not fully releasing after stopping and is only noticeable because of the speed (entering the freeway) or full stop was made.
Abs recall, my Dodge Journey fits the same description for an abs recall, however my VIN number doesn't say that it is affected. I am outside of warranty so the dealership won't touch it. Displeased majorly!!.

3 separate incidents, all involving braking while in motion, spread over about 2 months. 1. , took too long to come to a stop while braking at a red light (6 car lengths); 2. , light tap caused car to screech to a stop; 3. Complete failure; no response to repeated pumping; no resistance felt when pressing brake all the way to the floor, nearly flipped into a ditch, caused over $8k damages. The car itself had 23,295 miles on it when all this happened. Dodge "investigator" said nothing's wrong.

Driving on a major highway when all of a sudden, I noticed my speed dropping. I pushed on the gas but got no response. Then traffic began to stop but I couldnt! my brakes did not work!!! I put my hazzard lights on and began to drift across 3 lanes of traffic because the steering also did not work!!!! I almost caused several accidents as I was unable to control my vehicle. I made it to the emergency lane and pushed the emergency break coming to a joilting stop. Once I caught my breath and stopped shaking, I was able to restart the vehicle. I then exited the highway and crept across town back to the dealer where I had just left getting my oil changed prior to this incident. They checked out the vehicle but found no bad codes or any other issue so there is no fix for something they could not re-create. . This is my 3rd Journey (2010, 2011, 2015) and I believe this is an accident waiting to happen. I had no issues with the prior two years. I am terrified of driving this vehicle now especially noting so many other complaints of the same issue.

I purchased my vehicle in November 2015, just two weeks ago while stopped at a light my vehicle just turned off . When trying to restart my vehicle jolted then turned on, I took to the dealership they stated all it needed was a software update and it would fix it and that it would never happen again. While 4 days later it happened again this time the vehicle was in motion we were turning a corner and bam the car turns off again almost getting slammed by another vehicle. I had to help my. Husband pull the wheel to turn, the steering wheel locked braked didn't work or accelerator. I opened a case with Chrysler and they say they can't do anything for me. I really need help. With this some please help this is a unsafe vehicle.

I have recieved 3 recalls and all of them the manufacturer just says to contact dealer for vehicle inspection and part repair. Its been 3 mos and poway Dodge dealer said to wait till I got another recall notice that parts have been distributed. I am wondering if I need to have the accident before the company accepts responsability for repairs or worst deaths in my family. I have a two year old and an 8 year old to protect mr. Ceo/vp. First it was the breaks, then seat belt, now navigation system. I also have not been able to use one of the air condition vents in front seat cause its never circulated since I bought it. Was my car made on a Friday before happy hour?.
