Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving a loud tapping noise occurred, the vehicle started to shakes badly then stalled. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road and power off the engine. The vehicle was restarted and was able to drive normal. However, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to patty peck Honda dealer, (555 sunnybrook, rd, ridgeland, ms 39157, (601) 957-34000) and was diagnosed that the head camp and metal shaving was mix with the oil causing the failure. The motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000. Aw.
