While driving the vehicle in a wet parking lot the abs light and stability light came on and remained on. This has also affected the cruise control as well. There was a recall on Dodge Journeys from 2012-2015 for the same issue VIN may need included in the recall.

I was driving my car at approximately 50 miles per hour, when it seems like my steering or the wheels seemed "off. ' I checked to make sure all of my tires were correctly pressured and they were, so I kept driving. Approximately 20 miles down the road, well going approximately 60 miles per hour the electronic stability control light came on post flashing and with an off symbol underneath it in two separate locations. Also the red lightning bolt symbol came on as well. At the same time that the lights came on my car decelerated at a rapid pace, which was not at all safe on the highway. I immediately turned on my flashers and pulled to the side of the road. After getting on my phone to see what it could be, I decided that I would limp home with the car so I could research a little further what was going on at home. While I was driving home afterward, the car never got faster than about 20 miles per hour and accelerated at a very, very slow pace. The air conditioner no longer worked and when I had to drive up a very small hill, the car seemed like it would stop completely.

While I was driving on a highway, the check engine light and traction control/stability light came on. You could feel the car loosen up, and the engine sound like it was misfiring or skipping. The car did not lose power, and ran fine the next time I drove it. However, it has happened a few more times. I have an appointment with the dealership, so we will see what they say. I did see that the 2012-2015 models underwent a recall for something similar. Maybe it is that same issue on this model. Also, a few months back I was driving when the bolts holding the serpentine belt (don't know the exact name of the system) broke off. The car overheated and completely shut down. They used short 8mm bolts to hold up the system and they failed. Dealership or Chrysler would not cover costs of around $175 to fix, with no assurance that a longer 8mm bolt would hold up long term. The car has less then 50k miles on it.

While driving the car suddenly losses power and the stability lights and abs lights all flash. This occurs while driving on the city street and highway and turning. The shop says they do not know what is causing it. There are lots of customers on the internet with the same type of problems. This does not occur while sitting still only in motion. This has happened numerous times and when we check for codes all it says if engine misfire even though there are stability light and abs light on.
Eltronic stability control light randomly comes on while driving and front passenger hub is going out at only 30k miles.

"the car loses power unexpectedly while driving at various different speeds or sometimes just won't start after driving but if u wait twenty minutes it might just decide to restart, the ac sometimes will only blow out very hot heat, the cruise control won't turn off and has accelerated from being set at 55 to 75 on its own without being able to turn off, it has went into limp mode at several different speeds and in 2018 wouldn't turn off from in the run position in a result of a completely drained battery and was told engine needed to be replaced which I had replaced, the catalytic converter completely disconnected from the front which I also had replaced, wheel bearings bad costing numerous tire changes since purchasing it in 2013 until someone finally told me in 2020 what was wrong only at the cost of several tires and a wheel alignment, the stability warning light comes on and turns off randomly but if I try to push the button it won't turn it back on or off and the throttle control light comes on and car goes into limp mode drives like this for a day then can go days or months with all warning lights turning off and car runs just fine until it decides to do anyone one of these problems! I have told the dealership that the vehicle has a malfunctioning computer since purchasing it in 2013! the vehicle is unsafe lemon! it has caused me anxiety, and repeated traumatic events of almost getting into an accident or being left stranded for hours! I go into a store and I panic never knowing if the vehicle will start or decide to act possessed!" I recently went to a Dodge dealership to get the safety recalls done on the vehicle and Dodge has informed me they will not do the recalls because I have replaced the engine! the safety recalls must be done and if they can't do it then they need to provide me w a new vehicle free of charge or give me the money back I paid!.
