1 Brake Abs Warning Light problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2008

1. Vehicle began to exhibit symptoms of gradual brake failure, vibrations/shimmies during braking, strange noises while braking, extended stopping time, and the abs light would come on sporadically. The vehicle has approximately 42000 miles, is 3 years old, and is still under warranty. 2. Took vehicle to repair shop, advised braking system is not covered by warranty, but that rear rotors were ground down to point of no return and that front rotors were rusted/corroded beyond repair. Mechanics advised that all brake system components needed replacement due to possibility of system failure. Over $600 in replacement/repairs to a system that at most should have only needed routine brake pad replacement.

2 Brake Abs Warning Light problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2006

: the contact stated while applying brake pressure at any speed, the brake pedal went all the way down to the floor followed by a pulsation, and the abs light illuminated. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem with the antilock brakes. The manufacturer was alerted.
