The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle stalls multiple times after a fuel fill up. It's very dangerous because it will stall even while driving in traffic. It could cause an accident if other vehicles don't realize my vehicle has stalled. Up to this point I have thankfully not been the cause of an accident. I try to never fill the tank due to this problem. It usually stops once I have driven a few miles and if I open the fuel door to release the built up vapors.

When I fill up gas tank with gas vehicle stalls while drive in traffic on highway and have to be put the gear shift/transmission into park on the roadways to initiate the start up process cause an unsafe/hazardous environment on the road way with other drivers not aware of the issues of the stalled vehicle.

Filled fuel tank up as usual then started the car and immediately the car stalled. I restarted it and it stalled again. Started car again while pressing the gas pedal and it drove a few seconds then a super hard misfire and it cut off again. Finally starts and idles terribly. . . Runs terribly for about 10 miles then it seems to balance itself out. It's been happening consistently for the last few years and almost caused someone to rear end me a few times. I hear there's a recall or lifetime warranty on the fuel tank but no notice was ever sent to me.

When you feel the tank up the car shuts off a couple times until some of the gas went down then it acts normal.

Hello, I need your help and I cannot get any help from Dodge. My vehicle has experienced an issue where the car will stall after the fuel tank is full. I heard that this was an issue but my vehicle was not on the list but however have the same issue. All I want to do is have fairness from an issue that I did not make happen. I have contacted Dodge and they turned me away. Along with the stall engine it almost appear as if it might cause a leak. Can you please help. Chrysler is very aware of their fuel tank lifetime warranty for past two years. My vehicle has been sitting in dealership for 10 weeks due to stalling after getting gas in an oncoming intersection. They are not sending the parts and keep giving us the run around. They keep giving us a case manger number that never answers. I guess we are to drive into incoming traffic again and hope for the best. I think its time that this becomes a mandatory recall rather sending out false letters that the problem will be fixed. I am sure we are not the only ones getting the run around or have been almost hit because our cars will not go.

I believe my cars has a problem with the gas tank. On Friday September 11 2015, we drove the car and it had gas at the time, suddenly the car just turned off on the street. On my gas meter or gage is always reading it on empty when it has fuel. It's also smelling like gasoline now. We bought the car from a used car dealer and it's still being financed. How can I know if it's a manufacture problem, I did some research and it happened to say that this gas problem happens to the Dodge Magnum 2005-2006, if it's a manufacture problem do I call the Dodge dealer and will it be fixed by them. I have two children, I can't drive a vehicle that is not safe. What options do I have. The vehicle also has an air bag recall, which the dealer has not fixed because they don't have the parts it's been over 3 weeks since we received the safety recall notice by mail.

I have been having issues with my car just dying while I am driving. It has now happened 4xs. When I went online to research this I came across an extended warranty program from Chrysler which stated this issue was with the gas tank and cars were receiving replacement gas tanks. I called their corporate offices to inquire and was told my VIN was not included. How can a car be excluded when it displays this issue? I am scared to drive. Purchased a used 2005 Dodge Magnum rt 5. 7 (as is no warranty )on 11/15/14. On the drive home from the dealer, filled the car with fuel and the engine was hard to start and after it started ran for a short time and stalled. After several start stall cycles near the gas station got the car on the interstate and it lost power at speed and ran rough for short periods but did not stall. After aprox. 10 minutes of highway speed the car ran fine. Two weeks later after fill up had the same stalling issues. Having read these cars have history of these issues, I attempted to lower the fuel level by driving the car. The car started and about a 1/2 mile from the house stalled in a busy intersection. Unable to restart the car, had to get towed home. The car started right up when it came off the tow truck. Siphoned 5 gal from fuel tank & can't duplicate failure. No error indications during failures.

When the gas tank is filled, the motor cuts out and stalls when driving, I have to keep the tank at half way to avoid this. My wife filled it up and it stalled on her while she was making a left hand turn in traffic. My child was in the car as well. Immediately after refueling to a full tank engine stalled and almost stopped while at a stop light only about 100 feet from gas satiation. While stopped stumble occurred two times, but never stopped completely. This is clearly a safety issue since a stall could cause traffic problems, brake booster degradation and driver insecurity. The car will stall every time after I fill up the gas. Filled car with gas. Pulled away from station and car stalled multiple times at stops and low speed turns. No warning, no lights, no sound, no pm, just dead. Restart easy. Stalled about 5 times in 2 miles then behaved. Has happened many times after fill-up now I idle and wait fo short time and hope for the best. Have even shortfill tank before auto click. One scary incident after short fill, car stalled upon entering highway. Stalled causing power stirring issue making it very difficult to pull to side of road. . Car behind followed and almost rear ended my car. Must find fix!.

After fueling up the vehicle to a full tank the car seems to want to stall when coming to a stop. This happened on three separate ocassions within a span of 3 stop lights and when you go to restart the car it doesn't want to start right away leaving you vulnerable at a stop light just sitting there.

I am in the military currently stationed in germany and my 2005 Dodge Magnum had to get a inspection before I can drive. Today when I took it in for the inspection I was told my car was inoperable and will be put in storage until I can get it fixed. The mechanic showed me the tank and on the very bottom it looks like the owner prior to myself had the same issue and tried to seal it with some type of adhesive to fix it. When I purchased my car 2 1/2 years ago the dealer didn't tell me that information so I never knew there was a temporary fix to a serious problem. So now I am forced to pay or a rental car and pay well above the price I would pay in the united states because I have a leak and when I bought the car in 2010 there were only 60,000 miles. I started smelling gas so bad that the car was not drivable. I had it checked. The top of the gas tank was leaking, which is underneath the back seat where my children sit. It cost about $400. 00 to fix. However, I had to take it back twice because of the "o" rings. (that is what they called it at the place I got my car fixed) they said that the manufature changed the part so they had to of known that there was a problem. They should have recalled it. A gas leak situation, when I have four children in the car could have turned into something more then just a gas leak. The manufature should have made this problem public.

No accident involved, not sure what caused the problem but car stalls when gas tank is filled and pump automatically shuts off. Solution has been to manually pump gas til it get to the full line stop.

Stalls every time you fill up, does not matter how much gas is in the tank, almost allways waits till you pull out into traffic. Stalls 3 or 4 times and then runs fine till next time you fill up.

When you fill the gas tank the engine will stall several times until the gas level lowers. If you fill the tank to 3/4 full it wont stall. After the stall the engine will restart after several attempts. Very dangerous if on freeway or no spot to pull over. I bought the car new in 2004.

Vehicle stalls after fueling up. It appears to be the same exact problem that has occurred with the x53 fuel tank. This is an extremely hazardous issue that has been going on since the vehicle was new. The hazard is because a stalled vehicle in the road is now an obstruction and an accident waiting to happen. The fact that this issue was diagnosed on the v8 with a 19 gallon tank and was covered by a Chrysler warranty extension admits the issue was on Chrysler and should be extended to these vehicles as well. Service bulletin 14-002-14 and warranty extension bulletin id-14-01 refer to the exact issue as my vehicle.
