The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Magnum. While driving 30 mph the transmission began slipping gears which caused the vehicle to move in an unexpected direction startling the driver. The dealer was advised the contact that her VIN was not included in recall # 08v583000, power train automatic transmission, lever and linkage column shift. No repairs were made. The failure mileage was 52000 and the current mileage was 55000.

2 Automatic Transmission Column Shift problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2009

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Magnum. The contact stated that the vehicle would intermittently down shift and display the incorrect gear shift position. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility and repaired at an expense of $1300. 00. The manufacturer was notified in reference to recall # 08v583000, power train automatic transmission lever and linkage column shift; however, a representative concluded that the VIN was excluded. The failure and current mileages were 55,000.
