8 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2013

Vehicle automatic transmission shifter is "stuck in park". This leaves the driver stranded at a location. This is a very common problem with Dodge and Chrysler 2007 vehicles. (also, circa 2007) a recall was issued for the shifter interlock "pink thing" but only for certain vins. Mine has the same part, but not covered by the recall. If you look on the internet at "Dodge stuck in park" you will see how many people like me are in this same predicament. I am old and have medical problems for which I don't need to be stranded or may need the vehicle to get to a doctor, etc. Chrysler Dodge should issue a recall for the rest of these "stuck in park issues". Thanks!.

Failure Date: 08/29/2010

I own a 2007 Dodge Magnum. My complaint is about the gear shifter on Dodge vehicles. The shifter sticks in the park position and has to be replaced at owners cost . My understanding this is an ongoing problem with this company's vehicles. I spoke with an employee with the dealership I have my car repaired, he made a statement that they have to repair about 10 a week. If this is an ongoing problem, do you not think the car company should be responsible in replacing the part that is malfunctioning ??.
