1. Vehicle began to exhibit symptoms of gradual brake failure, vibrations/shimmies during braking, strange noises while braking, extended stopping time, and the abs light would come on sporadically. The vehicle has approximately 42000 miles, is 3 years old, and is still under warranty. 2. Took vehicle to repair shop, advised braking system is not covered by warranty, but that rear rotors were ground down to point of no return and that front rotors were rusted/corroded beyond repair. Mechanics advised that all brake system components needed replacement due to possibility of system failure. Over $600 in replacement/repairs to a system that at most should have only needed routine brake pad replacement.
