One problem related to front suspension lower ball joint has been reported for the 1999 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 45 mph consumer heard a grinding/popping noise coming from the front. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and had both lower control arms on both sides replaced. The repair shop informed the consumer that a recall was issue for this failure (recall 99v-114). The consumer contacted both the dealer and the manufacturer and was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall.
