Two problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1996 Dodge Ram 1500 ran of the road through a guardrail and into a wooden light pole, and drivers side air bag did not deploy.
Air bag did not deploy upon impact. After traveling 65mph & hitting a small vehicle that pulled in front of her. A representative from Chrysler inspected vehicle and stated it was twisted and badly damaged, however airbag did not deploy due to the site of impact.
