Three problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While pulling out of a drive way with steering wheel slightly turned. Consumer states' the vehicles steering wheel suddenly became very stiff. Cause is unknown. Consumer feels unsafe driving vehicle on a busy street. Dealer has been contacted. Ts.
On the day that we test drove the vehicle we noticed a clunking in the steering wheel and we informed the dealership. We were led to believe it was a small minor part , it wasn't untill after purchased the vehicle that we found out it was the steering column.
Steering column and steering wheel disconnected from vehicle when it was involved in a head-on collision. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
