Problems with vehicle's upper ball joints. A technician told the consumer that the upper ball joints were worn.
I have two issues to relay. I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab truck. I currently have approximately 54,000 miles on it. I just recently had to have the driver side front wheel bearing assembly replaced. This wa sa known defect was told, and was specifically excluded from my extended warranty (go figure). This cost me almost $ 500. 00. Per the mechanic, there was a plastic retainer device that broke and allowed the nut to back off, and this destroyed the wheel bearing assembly. I was told that my wheel was in danger of falling off. Second, my truck started making clunking noises when I turned or went over bumps. A local mechanic inspected my truck and told be my ball joints were defective. They have seen this a lot. I have done some research and believe the suspension on my truck was the same as the durango. Now they were subject to a recall. Sincerely, norman l'heureux.
