Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving the oil gauge pressure dropped after the vehicle had been stopped and after the accelerator pedal is depressed the gauge operated normally. A when the failure happens a warning light illuminates indicating the contact should check the oil pressure gauge. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the oil pressure gauge had failed. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle failure mileage was 137000. Kh.
