Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Takata inflators it has been a year since the recall and my dealer still can not get the parts to fix this problem I am driving a recalled truck on the road. Can't get a trade in because the dealers lower the price because the truck is not fixed.

Takata recall my husband and I are expecting our first child in one month and were trying to trade in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 for an SUV that would accommodate our family and because of this incomplete recall, no dealership wants to buy our current vehicle. On top of that, the manufacturer does not currently have or can provide the materials needed to fix our truck and clear the recall. We are stuck with this truck because of a faulty airbag inflator that could potentially cause harm to us and our future child. We are having to hold onto this 2005 vehicle that poses a danger to our family because of a manufacturer that will not get their stuff together and act quick enough on the repair. No one can fix the recall right now and have no information on when the parts will be available for the repair so we could be stuck with this truck for many more years to come. Something needs to be done about this so that Dodge will quit dragging their feet and take this safety issue seriously.

Important safety recall s43/NHTSA 16v-352 passenger airbag inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death. Vehicle has been parked in excess of six months. According to fiat Chrysler automobiles the parts required to provide a permanent remedy for this condition are not currently available. How long am I required to "park" this vehicle. Can I force fiat chrsler automobiles to purchace my vehicle back so that I might get a reliable and safe car to drive?.

The recall date on this vehicle's air bag inflator housing was 7/1/16. It is still in "recall incomplete" status. Why?.

Received safety recall notices by mail for rear axle pinion nut (p77 / NHTSA 14v-796) and driver airbag inflator (r25 / NHTSA 15v-313. ) I contacted a local dealer in July / August of 2015 to schedule repairs. A week later the dealer called back to postpone the repairs because parts were not available. The dealer stated that they would call back to reschedule the repairs when the parts were available. I have not heard back from the dealer. The repairs have still not been made. The dealer has failed to remedy these defects in a reasonable amount of time.

I have been calling ed voyles ram in marietta GA for over 5 months regarding 2 recalls (rear axle pinion nut p77 / NHTSA 14v-796 & driver airbag inflator r25 / NHTSA 15v-313) every time I call its always the same response, "no parts", and no idea when parts will arrive. How long should this take?.

I got a recall over a year ago about the airbag inflator and (2) other items to be repaired,which I promptly took in and had repaired,only to find out a year later that the airbag inflator was never repaired. Nothing was said to me that the part was not available. Just received another notice and must wait for parts again,what is going on? doesn't Dodge give a damn about our safety? is it time to get a lawyer and sue Dodge and NHTSA, for not doing their job. Why have an organization that doesn't do their job? what are you going to do about this?.

I received two recall notices for fixes on my 2005 doge ram. I have had this vehicle for one year. The recall notices are for defective airbag inflator housing and a rear axle pinion nut. In the rec all notice I was informed there is no permanent fix for either of these problems. Both defects could cause injury or death. I want Chrysler to take this dangerous vehicle off my hands and reimburse me for the $12,000 I paid for it a year ago. Because of these dangerous situation I will not drive this vehicle and cannot afford to buy another. I feel Chrysler should take this dangerous vehicle off my hands and reimbursed me for what I paid for it so I can purchase a vehicle that is safe to drive!.

There have been 5 recalls on my Dodge ram. The airbags may rupture in 2015, the rear axle pinion nut may loosen at the differential (powertrain) in 2014, again the airbags inflator may rupture in 2014, the wheel hub assembly (wheels) in 2010, also a recall for the after market replacement pitman arms (steering) in 2010. I have gone to my Chrysler dealer in las cruces, new mexico; the Dodge dealer has been closed for a few years now. I have been told I have to have a notification from Chrysler/Dodge to have them just to take a look at it, much less fix the problems. Now there is a huge recall; this is now really gotten serious. Please help me as much as you can to take care of the malfunctions on my Dodge ram as soon as possible. I have not taken the Dodge on long distance road trips for the past couple of years now. The failed components listed below do not show all the malfunctions I have listed above.

My sister was in a fatal car accident June 23rd 2015. About a week and a half after her death we received a recall for the trucks rear axle pinion nut. Then a week after that we received another recall in the mail regarding the driver airbag inflator. During the incident her trucks right rear tire was snapped at the axle leaving us to believe that the pinion nut was loose and caused this rear axle to seize and break. In the crash all of the airbags failed to deploy. The pinion nut recall was issued in February of 2015 and we are questioning why it took Chrysler 5 months to provide us with this information.

Two recalls(p77 rear axle pinion nut; p254driver airbag inflator)--same response from the dealership(byford, duncan, ok) parts not available; visited the dealership twice and called twice(started around 6/16/2015); last recommendation from dealership was to make an appointment for them to see the vehicle and then try to order the parts; contacted the Chrysler group recall assistance center(on hold for 35 minutes) on 8/4/2015-they took my information to forward to the dealership no one seems to interested in satisfying these recalls except me.

Contact owns a 2005 Ram 1500 slt 4. 7l. Contact states this has happened several times randomly. Truck will die while driving down the road or maneuvering at low speeds. Truck has had one random incident of over heating and had to pull over and shut truck off to cool down. Restarted just fine! plastic seat belt buckles have broken and seat belts don't retract fully. Then around April 2014 started hearing a whining grinding,howling noise thought it was the tires or the road. After a few months the noise was still there so called a repair shop took it in. Had it looked at. The repair shop diagnosed it to be the rear differential pinion nut backing off. Repair shop said the truck needs the differential repaired or replaced. A short time later, I received a recall notice around February on the truck for p77 & p81. Have contacted dealer via phone on several occasions. Dealer says parts are not available at this time, and don't know when the parts will be available to remedy the situation. It has been almost 3 months since I received the notice. I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle occupants and/or other's safety. *(since the problem is, the rear axle pinion nut on your truck may have been built without an adhesive patch on the pinion nut threads. The lack of this adhesive patch could allow the rear axle pinion nut to loosen and/or the rear drive shaft to separate from the rear axle. A loose pinion nut could cause the rear axle to seize and a separated drive shaft could cause loss of motive power. Either situation could cause a crash with out warning! and the airbag inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking and potentially injuring the vehicle occupants). Dealership says should be okay to drive. !! I don't see how Dodge Chrysler! can keep production/sales of these unsafe vehicles. When so many vehicles are being recalled.
