Rear Suspension problems of the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500

Three problems related to rear suspension have been reported for the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2016

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 55 mph, the rear axle bearing on the passenger side malfunctioned. The rear passenger side wheel became stuck. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 144,000.

2 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge 1500. While driving 55 mph the vehicle hit a separation in the road and the passenger rear tire went into the next lane causing the contact to temporarily lose control of the vehicle. The contact regained control of the vehicle and proceeded to drive. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 23,500, and the current mileage was 25,000. The consumer stated the rear suspension locked up for the 4th time. The consumer and passenger were injured. Updated 03/30/07.

3 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2006

Massive vibration at speeds of 80 km-100 km in the rear of the truck, left side of box shakes over all bumps. Replaced 3 tires , vibration still there .
