The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who determined that the fuel tank inlet check valve was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. 2 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2021

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to refuel the vehicle, the nozzle continuously stopped while refueling. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. An independent mechanic and was contacted, and the contact was informed that the failure might be linked to a defective evap system. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. 3 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/26/2007

2007 Ram 1500 4. 7 automatic. 16000 miles. Using auto shut off at gas station, always back splashes. Even back splashes when I manually put the gas in slow when I know it's getting close to full. No way to stop the back splash, and it's not just a small amount that comes out either. This is a continual problem since bought new.

4 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact received a recall notice two weeks ago for a fuel leak. The fuel shield needed to be replaced. He called the dealer three times, but could not get a response. The dealer finally stated that it may take three to four months before the vehicle could be serviced. The recall notice stated that the repair would only take thirty minutes to an hour to complete. The dealer stated that they do not take appointments and would have to keep his vehicle for 3-4 days. The recall notice number was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 580.
