Three problems related to headlights have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Spyder auto (19395 e. Walnut drive north city of industry California) is selling headlights that they claim are dot approved but the pair I received are cross eyed and there is no left to right adjustment and they refuse to warranty them. I had ordered a different pair previously from a different manufacturer which also had the same defect and it appears both sets of headlights came from the same factory in china and are using the same molds and are importing them and illegally claiming they are dot approved. I've included a picture of the beam pattern.
Driver side headlight not working after replacing bulb several times. After researching this I have seen a lot of people having the same problems with their headlight.
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 45 mph, the driver side low beam headlight failed to illuminate without warning. The contact also stated that the driver side high beam light would not illuminate unless the contact held down the high beam control. The failure recurred each time the high beam and low beam headlights were engaged. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the tipm failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. Updated 09/10/lj.
