One problem related to crankshaft position sensor has been reported for the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Intermittent shut down at any time. Crank position sensor wire shorting out against engine block. Poor design, wire should be enclosed in such away there is no chance of this occurring.
