One problem related to transmission solenoid has been reported for the 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. While the ignition was started, the 4wd warning indicator began to illuminate. The contact turned the 4wd control selector off and proceeded to drive. After driving for a few moments the engine warning indicator illuminated continuously on the instrument panel. Also on a separate occasion the transmission shifted into the limp mode. In addition to the other failures, the vehicle unexpectedly lunged forward with the brake pedal engaged. The failure occurred two times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they stated the transmission solenoid was defective. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the malfunctions. The approximate failure mileage was 10,100.
