Four problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 1998 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Cummins diesel engine; intermittently while the cruise control is activated cruise vehicle accelerates unexpectedly up to 15 mph. When turning off cruise control, it will unexpectedly turn on . Dealer readjusted the cruise control, but problem is reoccurring.
Speed control (cruise control) was engaged when vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. When going uphill, would maintain speed. Was cresting the hill when it picked up speed.
The cruise control on my vehicle is erratic and unstable.
Cruise control failed. Yh.
