One problem related to automatic transmission control module has been reported for the 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Early December rpms of motor were higher than normal in overdrive and it would disengage itself out of overdrive on the highway. 12/13/02 bob valenti's service dept replaced selenoid,scanned transmission control module & reset valves. Problem still existed. On 12/18/02 transmission lost every gear but 1st gear. Service dept now tells me shaft for transmission pump broke & I need a new transmission. Dodge willing to pay 1/2 for parts but my bill is still $3,000. 00. I don't believe I should pay for any of this. They should pay all of it.
