Dashboard Crack problems of the 2002 Dodge Ram 2500

The entire dashboard is cracking and disintegrating. Obviously due to substandard material and/or workmanship. This is leaving pieces of plastic with very sharp jagged edges and points covering the top of the dashboard. This is a very dangerous condition as these sharp edges can cut or blind someone in even a minor accident.

The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that the dash board was cracked and was starting to collapse. Also, the contact mentioned that the left fuel pump would intermittently fail and cause the vehicle to independently decelerate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the dash board, fuel tank and injector pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 92,000.

Dash started to crack. Now I have a large hole in the dash, several cracks and a small hole in the dash. I also have holes and cracks in the bezel. It is a shame Dodge is not replacing the dash. I have a 74 camaro and the dash is not craceed, have a few 95 chevys, a 95 Buick, 99 chevy in my family and none of them have the issues with the dash. This is a issue with just about every Dodge ram owner of the same year!.

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and the dashboard had completely cracked and peced away. There are sharp plstic pieces I find everywhere. They slide under the pedals and cause a distraction. Im constantly gathering peices large and small from my dash falling through while I drive. The glare it makes on the windshield also is a destraction. I find myself looking at this monstrosity and not on the road. This needs to be fixed and most certainly should be a recall. Why would I buy another one when its just going to cause the same problem and upset me.

Flying sharp objects. From Dodge cracking dash. This problem is not caused by sunlight since my truck is parked under cover and is not available to the sun. The sharp shards of plastic break and crack off and make for a very bad place to impact the human body if a safety restraint were to malfunction or fail completely. The flying debris also poses a risk during an impact or collision.

I have a 1997 Dodge ram pu with the dashboard falling apart thought it was just normal wear and tear until I inherited my father's 2002 Dodge ram diesel pu. I noticed a couple of years ago his truck's dashboard was cracking but did not realize the extent until I received the truck last year. The dashboard on both my trucks are in terrible condition with gaping holes in each. Both have exposed wiring that you can see from just looking at them.
