I was driving on i405 in washington state traveling southbound when I noticed smoke coming from my engine compartment. . . I pulled over popped the hood and took a quick look. . I noticed flames on the lower portion of the motor almost behind the firewall. . . Called 911. . .
Steering death wobble can control steering motor broke piston connection rod because exhaust manifold works or does something break bolts in bead causing tick then valve seat drop so valve drop to piston pistion hit valve broke connection rod now Dodge wants $ 5,000 to fix what I had no control over it breaking on many trucks and didnt fix so there wanting me to fix there messed up faulty parts then everything it messed up to I ain't got 500 to spend extra let alone $5,000 minimum for Dodge mainifold breaking and messing up my wholeotor I demand help my truck ain't 10 years old this is not on recall list but keeps happening to a Dodge trucks I have 2008 Ram 2500 3x4 crew cab have all my manitinece recipets I want I demand help for this faulty part luckly vehicle and killed someone we spent a lot of money for truck I want help fixing it now.
Cold air blowing from driver side only, while passenger side blowing warm when set on heater mode. :( problem still happening , most dissapointing as I just bought this used vehicle, and we're beginning winter weather.
Electrical fire in dash. My husband was driving and smelt something burning. As he went to pull over flames started shooting out the vents. Truck is a total loss per insurance.
I entered the highway in my Dodge Ram 2500 2008 truck, while I was at 50 mph my truck started making growling noises from the engine and I heard explosive noises from the bottom of the truck. My speed dropped to 25 mph and I could see from my side mirror car parts exploding off the truck on the highway in front of other vehicles while I was in motion and driving. This a highway at speeds of 70 mph so I had to move over to the service lane luckily I was in the right lane but I barely avoid a large petroleum truck from crushing my truck which would have been a homicide because he was blowing his horn and could not stop in time. The car dealer claims they are investigating its has now been 4 days and I have not heard anything yet called Chrysler manufacturer waiting to hear back about what caused this to happen to my truck. I only know some of the parts damaged on the truck.

The heater works on occasion from Nov 13 till I replaced it in may 2015, now its August 2015 and the heater has completely stopped working. I live in alaska and a heater is a huge deal. Also during an oil change noticed the tie rod is all gooped with oil. Have an 09 1500 that the tie rod broke on. Curious if my 08 is gonna have the same issue. The rear differential is leaking oil all of a sudden as of June 2015 after hauling my 24 foot trailer 1200 miles. When I put the truck in 4 low and drive it makes a huge clucking sound doesn't turn very well either. It feels like my steering is about to go out. I can't drive up my driveway without digging wholes in the gravel. I bought the truck used November 2013 and feel like I got a lemon.
Received recall - left side ball stud to replace. Called local dealer Jan 6. Instructed to call back in 7 - 10 days - called back Jan 13 -- told to come in, so not need appointment. ( 45 miles to dealer one way) visited dealer on Jan 14th - looked at truck and informed me that they had to order parts. -- called Jan 24th - will call us in a couple of days, no call. Called Feb 4th - told our parts were not in and did not know when the parts would be in. Informed that Chrysler was only giving the dealer one set a week. To date (Feb 19th, 2014) we have not received a call from dealer, replacement is not completed. Note: notification stated that the ball stud on my truck may fracture under certain driving conditions and this could cause a loss of directional control and or crash without warning. To me this is serious and needs attention ! this truck is used to haul cattle & horses & farm duty. I am concerned.
Went to take off from a stoplight and when I accelerated to 1500 rpm the exhaust brake engaged and prevented me from increasing speed. I had to let off the accelerator and gently accelerate in order to get the truck moving. Once going, anytime I tried to increase speed, the exhaust brake would engage and slow down the vehicle. I had to pull off the road, shut off the vehicle, and then restart. This seemed to take care of the problem. . It only happened once but it was at a busy intersection.
