The front end shakes around 60 to 65 mph. When driving, you have to slow down to 35 - 40 mph to stop the shaking.

3 Suspension problem

While driving at 65 miles per hour, and crossing a bridge expansion joint, truck began shaking violently. Shaking did not stop until I was able to reduce the speed below 45mph. Similar incidents continue to occur every time I drive the truck. This could easily lead to a serious accident.

5 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2013

I was driving on I-10 going west by blthe, CA I went over a bridge and ran over the joint between the bridge and the road the truck went into a speed wobble it didn't stop until I got on the brakes hard down to 40 mph I have had it happen several times more always at bridges or rough spots on the road.

6 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2013

Truck suddenly started bouncing all over the road. Felt as though all four tires had suddenly gone flat. Extremely difficult to maintain control and went into oncoming lane sideways. Inspection did not show any failed component (tire, steering system, etc). Check engine light illuminated for a day, then went off. Light illuminated again, with no indication of problem. Loss of control has happened three more times since first occurance. Similar speeds during each event, with two different operators. Serious difficulty retaining control to stop the vehicle and roll over/crash concerns preclude attempting to duplicate event. Dealership has been unresponsive to date. I will never trust the oncoming Dodge truck until this is addressed. People are going to die. It is sad.

7 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2012

While driving at speeds above 55mph, if an expansion joint, pot hole, or any form of a larger bump is hit, the vehicle will go into what is commonly known as "death wobble. " to be more specific, the front axle is shifting side to side underneath the body of the truck, causing a violent shake that is impossible to describe. Being an ase certified technician, I inspected my personal vehicle with two other ase certified technicians, and discovered no logical causes for such a shake, but proceeded to retorque every nut and bolt under the vehicle along with adding a new heavy duty steering stabilizer, per Dodge dealer suggestion. To no avail, the problem still persists. I can no longer allow my six month old daughter to ride in my truck for fear of death wobble occuring. I refuse to allow my wife to drive my truck for fear of her safety. Make this situation right with ram truck owners, before it takes a life.

8 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2012

At highway speeds of 65-70 truck started to shake very bad were I almost lost control slowed down and stopped check all tire and started going again and as soon as I hit 65mph it happened again till I slowed down to 30mph I once again stopped check tires all good this is a common thing with the Dodge ram from doing a search of the internet on what other Dodge ram owners are calling the death wobble and to this date Dodge says nothing is wrong this problem needs to be looked in to and either make Dodge do a recall to fix there problem before someone gets killed or injured because of this.

9 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2012

I was driving my truck on the interstate at about 65 mph and hit a bump in the road. My truck went all over the interstate almost throwing me into the ditch. I thought I had a flat tire but I didn't. I continued down the interstate and nothing happened. A week later it happened again on the interstate. I was told by a truck company that I was experiencing the death wobble. I called the Dodge dealership and they said they knew nothing about the death wobble. I cant drive my new truck on the interstate fearing for my safety and others I may hurt.

10 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2012

While driving my 2011 ram power wagon from speeds of 35mph to 70 mph any small bumps in the highway or expansion joints in the road put this vehicle into an extremely violent wobble with uncontrollable steering issues. I immediately brought vehicle to dealership and dealership had said they never heard of this, they agreed to replace the steering damper and the problem still persists. I'm a professional driver of fire apparatus and have never been as deeply concerned about my safety as now driving this truck. I looked up on the internet and there are countless wobble issues associated with Ram 2500 and ram 3500 trucks. I am not positive if my local dealership understands the severity of the situation. This can and will result in injury or much worse, death. Please address this issue in a timely manner to protect not just the thousands of Dodge owners but the innocent bystanders on the same road with this truck.

11 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2012

At normal driving speeds, when a bump or expansion joint is hit, a violent shimmy occurs in the front end. The way to make this stop is by hitting the brakes lightly bringing the speed down. The steering feels loose. It's happened 6-8 times in the last 5 days. The truck sways back and forth, this is a serious potentially dangerous issue.

12 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/17/2012

I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 hd with 27,000 miles. This truck was bought new from the dealer. This truck now has a severe problem with steering. When driving at highway speeds if the truck hits a bump in the road the front end will go into a very violent shaking. This is severe enough to cause loss of control of the vehicle. After a simple search of the internet I found this to be called the death wobble and appears to be a known common problem.

13 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 12/06/2011

While driving my 2011 Dodge ram on the freeway, the front end started shaking so violently that the hood latch popped, and forced me to the side of the road. Towed to dealer nothing found wrong continued this 10 to 15 times until it took me across two lanes of traffic to the center median on the interstate at 70 mph. The steering arm and dampener was replaced. Continued the same problem 3 more times and 3 separate dealers have looked at vehicle and made repairs. I have 15,000 miles on vehicle and continue to have same issues and Dodge will not make it right. I have a 50,000 dollar death trap that I am expected to drive or trade to an unexpected family!.

14 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 01/02/1998

In January 2014 I received mail for an important safety recall n49 / NHTSA 13v-529 for my 2011 Ram 2500 mega cab 4x4 laramie. The safety recall is from Chrysler for a defect on left tie rod ball stud may fracture under certain driving conditions causing loss of directional control and / or crash without warning. In light of all the gm and Toyota deadly incidents with multitudes of recalls and fraud my issue has not been resolved by my local dealership genes Chrysler fairbanks ak, contacting Chrysler inquiring about my parts taking extremely long to manufacture per my dealership, and I also contacted by telephone, the administrator, national highway traffic safety administration, washington DC vehicle hotline and still nothing has been done. I was the 1rst to make an appointment back in January 2014 then got the runaround ever since and repeated calls to the service workers, manager and owner of genes Chrysler my dealership. Worse yet I just receive yet another mail notice about the same recall and still waiting. I emailed by dealership informing them that my family and I were taking a vacation driving on the richardson highway to valdez ak which are the worst roughest roads in ak and that if we were to be involved in an accident caused by this unresolved safety defect that my children and family would sue and blow this out on the media. Please help us I drive 55 miles round trip daily to work and I am the one risking my life!.
