The tail gate is hard to open and hard to close. I have to keep pulling on the handle to try and get the latch mechanism to work. Usually takes 5 or so try's before the tailgate will open, close or stay closed. Sometimes the tail gate falls down while moving on a highway. The 4 wheel drive light does not come one the seat falls back if you put too much pressure on it in a backwards motion.

Seatback reclines or fails to stay upright under normal driving conditions. Modest accelerating from stop sign can cause seat back to drift backwards with a driver of average weight. Bouncing over potholes, gear shifts and driving up inclines have also caused the seat to fail.
Pt sd from all the information just barely put 50 00 miles on each year.
At about 4500 miles notice that my right leg was rubbing the frame of the seat has time went on it got worse. The framing and springs have lost all support and have caused bruising on my leg if I drive for an extended period of time I can not drive without being in pain. The dealer has replaced the foam but the problem is in the seat framing. It lacks support.

Seat becomes a problem when the temperature gets colder. Cool mornings will cause the seats to rise 3 inches causing driver or passenger not to sit correctly and buckle seat belt. This also causes driver to readjust mirror as temperatures rise and cushion lowers. As these changes occur driver must adjust seat forward and back making use of mirrors impossible without numerous corrections daily. Also, vehicle wanders on highway, driver must continuously move steering wheel to keep vehicle between lines on consumer's side of the road. In addition, detected clunking noise coming from steering box.
Who the hell let the dang color of the interior pass the test? surly someone must have said I love the truck, but the multi color dots on the inside need to be changed. Would a solid (gray, black, tan) have been all that hard to do? it looks like someone threw up fruity pebbles in there. What were you thinking? also my truck has less than 100,000 miles on it and I have a large rip on the front seat. I would think it would at least make it to 100,000 miles. Several 95 chevys (over 130,000 miles), a 99 chevy (unk miles) in my family with no tears or ugly coloring. Come on what is up with the color choice?.

3-year old son injuried himself on the center captain's chair which was covered by a piece of fabric. When the seat was positioned forward or backward, it exposed the metal track. But on the front passenger's seat, whether positioned forward or backward, it was not exposed. This was a design flaw. Days later, child was in the middle of captain's chair directly behind the driver. Driver's seat was up forward, exposing the metal tracking. Driver had to apply brakes suddenly to avoid hitting a dog, causing the middle captain's chair seat belt cable to snap, and child flew out, hitting his head on the metal track. Contacted dealer, and he was not able to help. Contacted the manufacturer for seat belt conversion package that was put on by elk enterprises. They were no longer in business. The cable on the other center captain chair was wearing out. Chrysler says they are unable to help because it was not a manufacturer defect.
