Steering Wheel Vibrate problems of the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

1 Steering Wheel Vibrate problem

Failure Date: 03/19/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that while traveling at unknown speeds that the vehicle would vibrate and the steering wheel had become very loose. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 13v528000 (steering) but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the loosening of the steering wheel and vibration in the vehicle had returned after the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Wh.

2 Steering Wheel Vibrate problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge ram3500 megacab. The contact stated that while driving at any speed over bumpy road surfaces, the steering wheel would shake violently and cause the vehicle to steer off the roadway. All of the components under the front end of the vehicle were replaced, but the failure continued. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 11v350000 (steering: linkages: tie rod assembly). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and also informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the above recall. No further assistance was provided and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 98,000.

3 Steering Wheel Vibrate problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2010

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 megacab. While the contact was driving approximately 45 mph over a bump, the steering wheel began to shake violently, causing the vehicle to swerve uncontrollably off the road. The vehicle came to a stop when the brakes were engaged. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer there times for the failure. The repairs consisted of replacing the front tie rods, steering stabilizer, and the front upper and lower ball joints. The track bar and bolts, front outer wheel bearing and steering gear were also included in the repairs. The repairs were performed at different times. The failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000.
