Two problems related to steering wheel vibrate have been reported for the 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving south hauling a horse trailer on a two lane highway, my truck would hit a slight bump or ridge in the road and start violently shaking. The only remedy is to slow to a stop. The steering wheel shakes violently, it is hard to steer, the brakes can't slow like normal. It is a dangerous not only to occupants in the vehicle, but to other people on the road. This vehicle is a hazard to everyone!!!!.
The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds over a bump, the vehicle would shake violently. The contact mentioned that the steering wheel vibrated in an unstable manner. The contact received a notification for recall NHTSA campaign id number: 13v529000 (steering) and stated that the parts were not available. The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the parts would be available in order to perform the repairs. The vehicle was to be taken to the dealer for further inspection. The failure and current mileage was unknown.
