Body Problems of Dodge Ram 3500

Happened on both sides 2 month apart. Loud bang and rumble. Inside tire, tread came off of tire. Damaged inside of wheel well, running lights, fenders on the dually, metal supports on fender. Never had this happen in 30+ years of towing and driving trucks.

Driving down the frwy at required speed when rt rear pass tire blew causing extensive damage to the wheel, rt rear panel & tailpipe. This tire had 3,000 mi. On it & we had chkd psig on all tires just previous to the blowout. This tire was a lt265/70r-17/10 terramax ht all position owl made by dynamic tire. Les schwab replaced it with one just like it. We had a 4,000lb arctic fox cab over camper on the truck at the time. Dynamic states there is not enough evidence of poor quality or anything else that would name them as the responsible party.

When driving on the highway I hit a series of bumps at 60 mph and my truck began to shake violently. I then had to slow down to 30mph to regain control.

During travel on interstate 40 at exit 56, drivers side front tire separated causing damage to inner fender, windshield washer electrical components, and fender and nearly causing catastrophic loss of vehicle control and loss of life of an entire family. All tires were at the proper inflation and temperature range at the time of the incident. With only 20,000 miles on the tire, this seems to be manufactured defect from the general tire company. I no longer consider general tires to be a reliable product and will research and seek replacements from other reputable tire companies. I do recommend product recall of the ameritrac lt235/80r17 tire line as well as product safety compliance inspections of the general tire company.

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated when the vehicle is on a rough road conditions approximately 70 mph, the steering wheel felt loose and there was a loss of steering in the front end of the vehicle with no warning indicators. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and it was diagnosed that the malfunction was due to a faulty tie rod on the truck and the front end tie rod needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the malfunction. The approximate mileage for the vehicle was 115000. Kh.

I unlocked my 2008 Dodge 3500 diesel 4x4 4dr drivers side door. I opened the door and stepped on the running board and went to sit on the seat simultaneously using the roof drivers side pillar (grab handle or support handle) and it slipped out of the roof pillar about 3 inches whereby I lost my balance falling backwards however , I recovered and hit the ground on my feet. If I fell (not recovering) and hit my back or head it could have been disasterous. The support, made of plastic with a center bolt pulled away from the center bolt splitting the plastic. The center bolt remained in its original position. I have since used a piece of metal brace running horizontal to the support with a hole in the middle to support the grab handle. I modified both the right and left front grab handles. It is extremely strong now but I tend to refrain from using it. Please note: the inside temperature in the truck was very hot. A black truck in the sun and temperature about 85f outside. I did not see any vehicle grab handle warnings in the user's guide or on the vehicle. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

The dash in my truck is falling apart, there is a large hole in my dash that is a huge distraction while I'm driving, the rest of my dash is going to fall apart at any time now. I have contacted Dodge about this, they will not repair it, I believe it is a manufacturer defect. And thus should be repaired by the manufacturer. I do not know of any other manufacturer that has this kind of problem.

We purchased a brand new truck from a local savannah, georgia dealer in 2011. My husband was driving down the road and a tree fell on his 9 month old truck with only 12,000 miles on it. He had body damage only but the truck was rendered "totaled out" by the insurance company. We paid off the loan with the insurance pay off and then, after negotiations, we bought the truck back from the insurance company. We then had the repairs completed (again, body repairs only). The truck was inspected and given a "salvaged/rebuilt" title. Now. . . Dodge is refusing us any factory engine/powertrain warranty, but more importantly they are refusing (along with the original local dealer) to repair the safety recalls on the vehicle. There are two recalls: (1) left tie rod end and (2) 2011 djd2 6. 7l ecm flush. We are also to believe that the first most severe safety recall was put out before the truck was even in the crash. We have gotten no where with either Dodge or the dealer through several phone calls and speaking with supervisors. Both Dodge and the dealership are refusing to do any safety recall repairs on our vehicle because they say there is a restriction on our title which prevents them from making any repairs. . .

The hand grip in the cab of the pickup has broken away twice since I have had this vehicle. This time I wrenched my back when this broke away. I confronted Dodge dealer and they said its not a lifting handle but an assist handle? if they put it in the truck they should make it safe enough so that someone won't get hurt.

The dash is falling apart. It has large cracks in it and pieces falling out.

8-7-2010, traveling e/b hwy 26 at 55 mph near manning, or. Just passing roadside fruit stand heard pop, truck pulled to right jumped the curb and veered directly toward steel guardrail. To avoid head on t. C. With guardrail, I pulled hard to the right toward what appeared to be clear ravine. Had to steer between two trees at bottom and struck pile of 4 foot logs left by dot. Vehicle came to rest about another 50 feet. Right front tire shredded, rim damaged, steering damaged as well as major front end damage. Have digital of same. Noted that witnesses at the fruit stand said they heard the pop and observed my vehicle pull to the right and jump the curb. Roseburg lithia Dodge body shop did all repairs. Note that left front tie rod fell off while on blm road. Had to be towed in and repairs again made by same shop.

Sunroof leaks dealer has attempted to repair problem several times still leaks. Water enters from sunroof exits from dvd player dealer refuses to replace inner lining. Interior roof liner.
