Failure Date: 08/28/2011

The front end of my 2007. 5 Dodge Ram 3500 will shake violently when you hit a bump in the road. Its happened numerous times and seems to be worse at higher speeds. The only way to stop it is to slow down quickly . Not to safe when on a major highway. Gets a lot worse if I am pulling a trailer and feel that sooner or later a accident will happen. Its nicknamed the death wobble. And has been going on for years with numerous year Dodge rams. Just do a internet search on the subject. Dodge knowes about it but is not correcting the problem.

3 Front Suspension problem of the 1997 Dodge Ram 3500

Failure Date: 06/03/2011

I have owned a 1995 Dodge 2500 and a 1997 Dodge 3500. I have some concerns with a steering problem with these models. If a pothole or railroad tracks are hit at a speed of at least 55 mph the steering wheel shakes uncontrollably. When this happened with my 1995 I spent over $400. 00 in just parts replacing almost all of the steering parts. Now this is happening with the 1997. This issue needs to be brought to the attention of the public and in my opinion is very dangerous and could end up resulting in death if not corrected. I have yet to have this checked out yet on the 1997. While I understand that parts wear out on trucks it should not peoples lives in danger when this happens. The only time this happens is when a bump of some sort starts the process.

5 Front Suspension problem of the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

Failure Date: 10/14/2010

My 2006 Dodge 3500 truck experiences sudden, violent, uncontrollable front end shaking at speeds above 55 mph. This is brought on when I hit a bump, dip, frost heave, or cross a bridge overpass where the road surface is uneven with the overpass surface. When this occurs, it will not stop until the vehicle is slowed to below 25 mph. I have very little control with steering and can only stab the brakes and hold the steering wheel until I reach a lower speed and the shaking stops. This can happen at normal highway speed from 55 mph up to 75 mph. This shaking is not just mild wheelhop, it is quite "violent". Items on the seats are thrown around, my glove box shakes open, things stored in the dash pockets are tossed around. All you can do is grip the steering wheel tightly, hold on, and hope to keep the truck between the lines. I have narrowly avoided a collision on a number of occasions. This has been going on for sometime since around 60k miles, I now have 140k miles on the truck. New tires, shocks, alignments, nothing helps. The only response from the Dodge dealer was check my tire pressure and steering stabilizer. Me research on the internet has revealed that this problem spans several years of Dodge trucks, not just 06 models. There are hundreds of comments and complaints on websites. All one has to do is google "Dodge truck death wobble". I was not able to find one single Dodge dealer provided remedy. It is only a matter of time before someone is killed in an accident because the vehicle is literally out of control. Please check into this.
