Power Train problem #1

The contact owns a 2000 Dodge Ram Van. While attempting to place the vehicle into the park position, the vehicle independently shifted into the reverse position without warning. In addition, the ignition key failed to disengage from the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07v555000 (power train). The failure mileage was 140,432.

Transmission Gear Slipping problem #2

This discription is for the undercarrige: the van keeps squeeking when you go over bumps, the dealer saids that the rubber gouments between the frame and the body were not supportive enough for all the weight of the van and the weight of all the passengers. I'm a single parent with kids and I do not have the money to replace all the rubber grouments between the frame and the body that the repair shop suggest I do or I can just keep paying them to lube them. As for the transmission thats another story apparently all my internal seals are leaking and it is causing the transmission to slip. For a brand new 2000 Dodge van this is ridiculous. They want between $3500 and $5000 to replace. I've e mailed Dodge concerning these problems and of course no response from them. Like it goes in one ear and out the other to say. This will defintly be the last Dodge I will ever look at again because for this being my ever first new car I've ever own I've been very disappointed with them. And I've talked to other Dodge owners and they say the same thing transmission problems rubber seals and lights.

Automatic Transmission problem #3

When traveling up a hill vehicle will start to downshift by itself, but this usually happens at 60 mph or above.
