Takata recall. The drivers side air bag was replaced oct 12 2017. In 01/2018 I get a recall for the passenger side air bag. I called freightliner but was told they can no longer replaced the airbag in new york state and they would get back to me. They never did. Ny dmv sent me a notice so I called freightliner and they show no recalls same as your website. What happened? how can I get the airbag replaced now?.

Takata recall. I want you to tell me how to disable the passenger side airbag. The service manager at the dealer won't tell me. I emailed the request to Dodge Sprinter. They won't tell me. My vehicle is in the last group that is to be fixed - way in the future. I want to protect my wife and myself by disabling the airbag since it will not be fixed for a long long time. 11 people dead, hundreds horribly injured - look at the pictures. Please put yourself in my shoes. Wouldn't you want to disable the airbag - be honest. I found the steps and instructions online as to how to remove the airbag. I don't want to remove it. I want to disable it. The first step is to disconnect the wire that goes to the battery. Is that enough to disable it? if not then what else do I need to do? I bought this motorhome 5 years ago. The problem was not known then. Last month I tried to trade it in on a newer motorhome. The dealer would not take it as a trade in. I don't have the money to buy a second motorhome and just let this one sit until it gets fixed. I need a fix now. I request that you direct someone to tell me how - Dodge Sprinter - takata - someone. An engineer at Dodge Sprinter designed the connections to make it work. He/she knows. I did not cause this problem. I should not have to live with it. What should I do next to get this taken care of? do I need a lawyer to represent me in this case in order to get anything done? I should not have to pay to get this taken care of.
