The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Srt-4. While driving approximately 35-40 mph, the vehicle was shifted from second to third gear. The gear seized and fractured. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift selector fractured and the third gear fork was fractured. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2006

I own a 2005 Dodge neon srt4. Its well known that 3rd gear shift selector bends over time and makes 3rd gear grind or pop out. I have experienced this problem since I have 25k on my car and its now at 49k. I've taken it to a few local dealer ships but none resolved the problem.
