Brake Disc problems of the 1998 Dodge Stratus

Four problems related to brake disc have been reported for the 1998 Dodge Stratus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc problem

Failure Date: 03/16/2002

The brakes fail every 6~11 months / 6000~11000 miles, have replaced calipers, pads, rotors, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders multiple times.

2 Brake Disc problem

Failure Date: 06/01/1999

Consumer has to turn rotors and replace brake pads every 6 months. Pads are wearing uneven. Braking distance is normal.

3 Brake Disc problem

Failure Date: 03/01/1998

Consumer had to replace brake pads every 6 months, so far 7 times. Also, problems with rotors.

4 Brake Disc problem

Consumer experencing excessive wear of the front and rear brake pads and rotors, causing extended stopping distance when the brakes are applied to make a normal stop. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has replaced parts. Problem still occurs, please provide any further details.
