Four problems related to ignition have been reported for the 1997 Ford Aspire. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Distributor shorted out/ multi fuction switch malfuctioned/ alternator malfuction altenator broke off housing.
The ignition system inside the destributor has gone out on my car 4 times under warranty.
Distributor cap failed several times.
The engine stalls because it doesn't have the power to take off after stops due to a faulty distributor cap. Dealer says there is a back order on this part.
