While slowly backing into our home garage, the vehicle accelerated brakes were not working and smashed into the side of the house, put the car in drive to move it. It accelerated forward over correcting and drove into our power box and came to a halt. No brakes were working and the wheels/steering locked up.

Accident statement – instrument panel cluster failure & collision while driving my 2025 Ford outerbanks, the instrument panel cluster (ipc) screen suddenly went completely black without warning. At the time of the malfunction, I was attempting to merge into traffic on my left with my left turn signal activated. Simultaneously, an 18-wheeler in the lane beside me was merging to his right. The sudden loss of my ipc screen meant I could not see my speedometer, warning indicators, safety messages, or any visibility cues needed to safely judge traffic speed and spacing. This created an immediate hazardous situation and made it extremely difficult to manage both my own speed and the surrounding traffic patterns. As I recognized the danger, I attempted to brake and avoid a collision. During this moment, my steering wheel began to shake slightly—possibly due to the lane-keeping or lane-safety system responding. Despite my efforts to correct and avoid impact, the 18-wheeler collided with my vehicle. At the time of the crash, I had no visibility of any dashboard warnings, alerts, vehicle speed, or safety notifications due to the ipc failure. My insurance representative has inspected my vehicle and deemed it a total loss.
The display panel for the speedometer and gas would not work or display anything.
I was driving on the highway at a speed of approximately 70 miles per hour when the Bronco driver screen gave multiple warning notices and at the same time, the accelerator would not react. Steering power was fine. I was in the second from far left lane on a six lane highway and losing speed quickly. I was able to move to the right and drift to the side of the road without incident. Once stopped, I turned the ignition off and waited a few seconds and then turned it back on again. The error messages all cleared and the Bronco accelerator reacted appropriately. I drove it straight to the dealership for inspection. They found the 210 connector was not making a good connection. They cleaned it and added electric grease and reconnected. Everything cleared and the connection was deemed good. I have not worked in the Bronco engine compartment or had work done that would have resulted in loosening the 210 connector. My understanding from the shop is that corrosion caused this connector to loosen.

I was driving the vehicle on high mountain pass roads in colorado. Anytime I would approach approximately 11,400 feet of elevation. The vehicle would instantly lose all power with no warning lights of any kind. All gauges were in the normal operating range. Vehicle would barely move 2 mph. Created a very unsafe condition on narrow steep dirt roads in the mountains. As soon as I turned around and descended approximately 100 feet in elevation the power came back instantly and vehicle operated normally. This happened on three occasions. The roads we were on were narrow, off-road vehicle mountain roads, and it created an extremely dangerous situation. I contacted Ford and they have not heard of this issue and there are no recalls associated with it. I spoke to a Ford Bronco ambassador, who was also on the trail system with a lot of other off-road vehicles, including Broncos and they had never heard of this happening . This vehicle is six months old. Ford says there are no codes set on my computer and since they cannot duplicate this where I live in phoenix because there are no roads high enough I don’t know where to turn.
Engine started stalking and acting like it wasn’t getting enough gas about a month ago. Took to a dealership and they said u had a cracked file injector line. They supposedly fixed the issue. Today it started stalling again and shut off in the middle of the highway and wouldn’t crank back up. Tried jumping battery and it would turn over but acted like it wasn’t getting any gas when trying to give gas and take off then it would shut off again. Had to get a tow back to dealer ship.

Good afternoon! my car started having issues going in reverse before I received the recall notification. It would nearly stall out and happened a couple times prior to getting the notice. Once I got the notice, I reached out to the dealer to see if anything could be done and was told no, not yet. Now, months later, it has gotten so bad that I am having to leave my house when it's cool (it doesn't stall as bad when it's cool out), and park my car in a certain way each day to ensure that I can effectively leave work without my car stalling. What is worse is that now, on hot days, my car semi-stalls, when I am driving on toll roads or back country roads on the way home. It loses power or jerks. I have an hour commute each way and this is not okay. Frankly, it is very scary sometimes. I have reached out to the dealership to ask them if it's safe for me to drive my car or if there is something they could do and I am constantly told that there is no solution, I have to wait, and they "legally" cannot tell me that it is safe to drive my car. They offered the option to rent a car, but I would have to pay a minimum of $45 out of pocket, per day, and I cannot afford to do that! I am already paying $600 a month for this car, now they want me to pay an additional $1350-$1395 a month just so I can feel safe? this has been going on for roughly 7 months. Who knows how long a "solution" will take. 7 months x $1350 a month = I would be out almost $9500 on top of my car payment with no end in sight. I feel like this is moving at a snails pace. The problem is getting worse and I am getting the run around. No help is being offered to make me feel safe driving this car! they seem annoyed when I ask about it (I have only reached out three times in the last 4 months). The recall even says that it could stall while driving. So, honestly, what is it going to take for me to not die in a crash when my car stops on a high-speed road? seriously. What can be done?.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that after parking and turning off the vehicle, the "steering assist fault, service required" message displayed. The message disappeared after restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure recurred while pressing the auto start/stop button without depressing the brake pedal. The engine revved abnormally loud while the vehicle was parked. The messages "steering assist fault, service required", "pre-collision assist not available," and "service advancetrac" were displayed. The abs and battery warning lights were illuminated. The engine then inadvertently turned off, and the radio switched on and off. Roadside assistance arrived on scene and the contact stated that when the tow truck driver started the vehicle, the messages and warning lights were no longer illuminated or displayed. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure for the second time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 9,929.

When driving or breaking at slower speeds, the car feels as if the transmission is “slipping” and the car jerks forward. The same thing happens when braking the car.
On rare but recurring occasions, perhaps twice a month, powering on the adaptive cruise control results in one of two issues: 1. The acc will engage, but set itself for 15 mph, even if driving at highway speeds. When this occurs, the acc either cancels itself out, or remains on until it detects a malfunction, and then cancels itself out. 2. On rare occasion, the autonomous breaking will, upon powering on of the cruise control, seem to detect a phantom vehicle that is not there and attempt to aggressively brake. The Ford Bronco acc is unique in that it attempts to set the acc on when the system is powered on, unlike other vehicles where the driver must power it on and then set it.
I am part of a large number of individuals ~200+ documented experiencing scraping noises in our 7 speed manual transmissions. Most of us can't get service done due to part supply issues and labor shortages. The bigger concern is Ford is replacing same parts that are being damaged which doesn't address the root cause of the issue and its not solving problem because it comes back shortly after service. The noise is mostly only heard in temps below f per Ford TSB 22-2371. People are complaining that regardless of new transmissions and TSB service the noise still comes back while most of us are waiting months to even get the repairs performed. There has been no official resolutions. The noise is a safety concern in that if the transmission fails a Bronco filled with a family could be stuck in a dangerous situation unable to move the vehicle in gear on the highway or similar situation along with these are brand new people complaining day 1 they bring these 7 speed manual transmission models home on 21s, 22's and now 23's. Ford just keeps sending them to customers with same defective transmissions we have and the problem is growing quickly also since it is winter and more are out there the number is growing quicker. I have tons of videos, documentation and a community of 200 plus individuals who own 7mt Broncos with the issue. I have spreadsheets from the community of builds and user names as well as photos of internal damage and reports of noise coming back. Very good documentation. Please take this seriously. Powertrain malfunction. Decreased power sent to powertrain. No turbocharge activation. Minimal acceleration, got up to only 45 on highway. Check engine light on, followed by turbocharge wastegate malfunction. 6500 miles, 4 months old. 2. 7l engine. Daily driver awaiting dealer service appointment. Not drivable.
Multiple times the engine has failed to respond to the accelerator pedal when engaged from a cold stop. The delayed response has happened several times while attempting to merge into moving traffic so even a 1 second delay is both dangerous and scary from a driver perspective. The vehicle was taken in for service recently and no problems were identified after mechanic testing. However, I wonder if this problem is related to the ongoing investigation of defective valves in the 2. 7l ecoboost engine.
1. Vehicle issue. -at approximately 2k miles while driving through severe weather in the rocky mountains my new Bronco lost all electronic driving systems that controlled driving modes including 4 wheel drive modes(goat) along with safety systems such as traction control, sensor systems, and cruise control. I was forced to drive through a white out in rocky mountains with 2 wheel drive due to the electronic goat modes failing. This was a dangerous situation as the systems I was relying on failed me when I needed them most. These systems failed off and on for the next three months before mysteriously subsiding. 2. Attempts to resolve. - took vehicle to Ford dealer to identify issue and they said there was no record of these failures in the code system which is extremely concerning. If I had gone off the road and injured myself and or died Ford would attempt to say there was no electronic failure when in fact there was a significant electronic failure of all traction systems. Fortunately I took video and photo evidence of the electronic failures. Alarmingly, these failures are not being recorded within the vehicle.
Letter from congressman griffith on behalf of constituent re 1995 Ford Bronco recall. The consumer stated on June 16, 2015, his vehicle exploded and caught on fire in his driveway. The consumer was informed about a recall. However, Ford customer service claim to know nothing about it.

The 1994 Ford Bronco equipped with speed control had Ford recall no. 05s28 accomplished in 2008. In 2012 the wiring overheated and caused damage and a leak to the master cylinder resovoir and had to be disconnected. When Ford was contacted they instructed that the recall had been accomplished and they could not warranty the part.
The contact owns a 1996 Ford Bronco. While parked, the contact noticed smoke coming from under the hood. The contact attempted to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher but was unable to control the fire. The fire department reported to the scene and a report was filed. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 05v388000 (vehicle speed control) but was advised by the manufacturer that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure was 180,000.

1996 Ford Bronco caught fire over weekend while my family and I were driving home. Monday Ford had it towed into the local dealership to repair and now, three days later they are telling me that they will not repair it since I knew about the problem. I argued that I had no idea and they say that they mailed me a card at the end of 2007. The vehicle is at the dealership and they want me to come pay cash for the reapairs. Please help.
My vehicle was parked in the yard for several hours, and I was working in my shop about 30 feet away. I started smelling burning plastic, and I thought that the neighbors were burning trash. When the odor became stronger, I looked out the door of my shop. There was smoke pouring out from under the hood, and from the front of the grille. I ran and got the garden house, and stuck it in the wheelwell, in a hole that had burned through the inner fender. Once the fire seemed nearly out, I opened the hood to finish quenching the flames.
The contact owns a 1996 Ford Bronco. While the vehicle was parked in a lot, it suddenly caught fire. Flames and smoke appeared from the hood of the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire and a report was filed. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. Through numerous research, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign id number 05v388000 (vehicle speed control). He called the manufacturer and they acknowledged the defect and stated that they would investigate to determine if the fire was linked to the recall. The contact believes that he should have received a recall notice. The current and failure mileages were 136,000.
I was driving, came home at 11pm, at 11:30pm the horn was blowing on my 1996 Ford Bronco, went outside to find it had completely burned in a fire - sitting in my driveway, not running, keys out of the vehicle. Had to call fire company to extinguish, police were here also - did some internet searching to find this is a major issue, was recommended to report to you.
