Two problems related to conventional parking brake have been reported for the 1998 Ford Contour. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The abs warning light comes on when starting the vehicle and it stays on. Also the emergency brake light comes on. Dealer says something in the hydraulic brake system needs to be replaced.
Parking brake failed, causing accident.
