One problem related to mid/rear seats assembly has been reported for the 1998 Ford Contour. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver's seat collapsed into the rear seat upon impact of a rear end collision while travelling approximately 30 mph. Upon impact, my seat collapsed back, and I had no protection from neck and back injuries.
