One problem related to hood latch has been reported for the 1999 Ford Contour. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that the hood flew up and broke the front windshield. Ph collision shop advised that the hood latch and safety latch seized open. Other vehicles were recall due to this defect, however consumer's vehicle was not one of them.
