One problem related to suspension noise has been reported for the 1999 Ford Contour. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes would make grinding noises when applied. The tires are going bald. Steering wheel feels real loose whn going over bumps or turning. The front end suspension would jerk & pull to the left. Will be contacting dealer to have vehicle checked.
