Truck has re-occurring frequent episodes of center control panel does not function - when this occurs- radio does not work - no heater -window defroster or a. C / windows can not be rolled up or down - air bag indicator is not working - so don't know if the air bags would deployed if an accident should occur . The truck has been to 1 dealer which said it was a soft wear issue and claimed to fix it . . Lasted less than 50 miles and back to square one ,, sitting at the second dealer which states it not doing it now ,, so come and pick it up , they ran a diagnostics and no default codes were found . This is not resolving the issue . If you cant tell me what you did to fix it . . The issue remains unresolved . . A safety issue for all occupants in the cab of the truck . . If the air bags fail to deploy because of the issue stated in this complaint is not addressed by the Ford motor company. . I have been in contact with the Ford relationship - personnel - and now awaiting for a call from the regional officer . . . The truck is still under factory warranty and Ford is required to fulfill there obligation to the consumer and fix default product. .

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2012 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 10/01/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Ford f150. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to stop. The contact veered to the right to avoid crashing into the vehicle in front of him, and crashed into a tree. As a result, the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained medical injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 39,000. Mf.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2005 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 06/15/2008

I was driving down a hill and my brakes failed totally. I ran head on into a tree which caused me to blackout. Once rescued from truck I was told the air bag never deployed. So I feel there are two failures here the brakes and the air bag.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2005 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 09/14/2006

: the contact stated while driving 55 mph on a dry highway, a semi-tractor trailer truck jackknifed and the cab of the tractor trailer truck collided with the truck head on. The air bags did not deploy and the truck was totaled. There were three people injured and a police report was taken. Seat belts were in use at the time of the accident and functioned correctly.

Ltr fm denis bittenbender (PA) writer is a quadriplegic use of electronic equipment to operate vehicle involved in accident electronic equipment failed causing accident request NHTSA test equipment defect, reply to the allentown ofc dot 2004-4251. The vehicle had run off the highway and ran into a tree in which the vehicle veered at a 30 degree angle to the right an did not respond to any actions the consumer tried to perform. On another occasion, the brake unit failed and the manufacturer replaced the unit. The emergency brake never worked properly and the air bags did not deploy. It was also possible the van had a steering problem.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 1999 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 09/24/2003

Vehicle veered off the road and into a tree. The air bags did not deploy during the accident. Nhtsa did some testing but could not pin point the problem. A recall was initiated which the consumer received August 24, 2003, 30 days prior to the accident. Since the vehicle was to be out of service for approximately two weeks the consumer was in the process of rearranging his schedule to comply when the failure occurred. Five days after the consumer purchased the vehicle the brake unit failed. The manufacturer replaced the unit after some installer/manufacturer disagreements. The emergency brake never worked properly.

7 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2002 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 03/17/2003

As the result of a head-on collision, the airbags failed to deploy. The collision was slightly off-center to the drivers side of the vehicle. Subject vehicle was traveling at approximately 30-35 m. P. H. , other vehicle was traveling at least the same speed if not more. Seat belt did lock-up causing a possible tear of the the subject vehicle driver's spinal cord at the fourth cervical vertebrae (neck) level.
