While driving 50 mph, the rear right outer tire tread separated, but didn't' go flat. The consumer heard a flapping noise from the back of the vehicle and pulled over to inspect the noise. The left rear inner tire tread separated 9 days later while driving on the highway 40 mph. These were load range e tires. Both tires were replaced. The second tire caused slight damage to the wheel well and the first tire simply marred the inner wheel well. Both tread separations begun on the inside of the rim which was also at the same point on the tire.
Bridgestone dueler lt285/74r16, blew out at 60 mph in f350 pu on i15, in calif. Lifted left rear off ground with no warning and damaging lr quarter panel recently replaced by firestone steel tex tire failures (2xs). Went four hour and right rear bridgestone seperate cleanly, as if recap. Tires checked prior to trip, and again after first blowout. Not loaded, pulling empty horse trailer. Can't understand why I'm reporting this, nthsa is effective as the useless tires!.
While driving at approximately 65 mph the vehicle experienced a strong vibration for approximately 1 second and then I heard a loud explosion-like sound as the right rear tire disintegrated damaging the right side of the vehicle.
While driving 60 mph the rear passenger tire tread separated.
Firestone, steel tex tires lt 225/75r16, dot vd, original equipment on a 1999, Ford e 350, ambulance with 52000 miles. While driving 65 mph driver'sside rear outer tire had tread separation. No accident.
