I was driving on 14-w from vancouver, wa toward I-5s. 60 mph. 60 degrees, light rain. My front moonroof unexpectedly exploded for no reason. I was not driving under an overpass, so I was not hit my a fallen object. The truck is under 4 months old, with no previous damage or incidents.
I brought a 2025 thor RV geneva vs24, VIN: 1fc3e3kn9sdd39778. Thor and blue compass RV drove this RV for 2046 miles with the headlights not working, a bad headlight relay was found by Ford, the part is a thor relay. This is a road safely issue driving roads without headlights. Second issue; I have to disconnect the smoke alarm to use the stove top, thor didn't install a exhaust fan/vent to get rid of smoke when cooking. Third issue; the engine cover seal was not in place allowing heat and engine fumes to enter the driver cab area. Fourth issue: windshield not installed correctly at factory, it was leaking water through the upper part of the windshield, the windshield could fall off the RV while driving down the road, a bracket was not installed correctly per blue compass RV shop.
Safety recall.

We have a 2015 coachmen freelander 21r RV (with a Ford f-350). Recently, while driving on the freeway a car near us kicked up some debris. This went under the RV and within 30-60 seconds after we heard a loud explosion/boom. My husband immediately pulled over and we were thinking it was blown front tire but just as he pulled over we noticed a large cloud of white "smoke. " the "smoke" turned out to be propane coming from our propane tank. Later he crawled under the RV and found a large hole in the tank. It appears that whatever hit it was hard enough to create a large hole in it and therefore causing the explosion. Fortunately, that was the only damage and no injuries were sustained. The reason for my email is that we were very surprised to see that there was no protective cage/rock guard around the propane tank to keep debris from damaging the tank. I personally think it's a design flaw and that any propane tank accessible from the side and but located under the RV should have some sort of protection around it. If that "cage" had existed, we wouldn't have experienced such a close call with a fire and possibly more. Thank you for your consideration.

The vehicle was very difficult to keep on the road. It wanted to go all over the road. It was a struggle to keep it in the lane. We took the RV back to the dealer we bought it from & they told us they didn't work on that & to find a Ford dealer that would work on it. After many phone calls I found a Ford dealer that would work on it. They told us nothing was wrong with the steering. It was engineered badly. They said the back end was too heavy & was making the front end light & "squirrely" & difficult to steer. They said it needed heavier suspension on the back end. They suggested heavier springs or installing suspension air bags. The other problem was the dash board lights started flashing off & on. Most of the time the dashboard lights were off. We could only see the speedometer, gas gauge & other gauges when the lights flashed on. But we didn't know if they were accurate when they were on. At one point we smelled wires burning & then the cruise control went out. The electrical problems started 07/19/2021.
Driving down the road, started smelling gas, so I pulled over the check why I smelled gas and as soon asi opens the hood, the van burst into flames from under the hood. It fully engulfed the van in about 3 to 4 minutes and is a total loss. This happened on the highway and had only been driving for 15 minutes. Unknown what actually caused the fire.

This car bassed for last 2 smog checks and still the light for check engine on ? and I have video for that. / plus the last inspection 03/02/2017 in carfax I see something wrong ( I see that it was a rental vehicle so 81,963 miles in a little over two years is not uncommon. We are also showing that on 7/13/2012 the vehicle was serviced and at that time the odometer reading was recorded as 153,548 miles. Ca dmv reported that this vehicle had 155,061 miles on 8/6/2012. Both these odometer readings are higher than 98,384 miles and they both come from different sources. Therefore it appears that the 3/2/2017 odometer reading of 98,384 miles is in error.

This is a 2009 pleasure way excel ts motor home, built by pleasure way industries in canada. This motor home came with hankook, dynapro as tires , so far I have had 3 of these tires blow up on me traveling at about 60 mph, and 2 more bubbling up on the side and inside, but they did not blow since I noticed it and install the spare, one of this last two the bubbling was found when I replaced all four tires with new michelin. The 1st 3 tires were replaced on a prorated order, I having to pay for balancing and mounting. The first 3 tires were replaced with dynapro ht tires which 2 of them failed the same way. (the side wall bubbles inside and out until it blows up. The last two tires have not been approved for replacement by hankook because they want to visually inspect them so the tires are having to be sent to them by the sears auto center in coral gables, florida. In the mean time I have installed michelin tires, do not trust hankook what so ever. I have photos, invoices, mileage when all these tires failed, which depending on the outcome of this complain I can send them to you since you a limit to upload these items. I believe there is a safety problems with these tire as to be overrated or something, even though one of the tires was on the front on the vehicle, and not subject to weight or pressure since it had 55 lbs of air pressure and they are rated to 80 lbs. In my safety concern had any on this tires would of have blown on the front, I would probably not be writing this complain, and god only knows what else could of happened. All these tires have failed from 05/23/2012 to 04/19/2016 and mileage from 9690 to 17323 miles. Pictured included are only for the 09/16/2015 incident only, I have others if needed including invoices.
While stopped at a thruway rest area in w. Virginia. It had been raining quite a bit on this - our first day of vacation. Our new 2014 Ford E-350 would not shift out of park! all of the dash lights started flashing, then stopped, then flashed again. This happened a few times. The truck would start would not shift out of park. After discussions with Ford roadside assist, the truck was towed to a Ford dealer. The main engine electrical component's compartment was not sealed correctly, letting water into the compartment and shorting out the electrical system in the truck. The whole electrical component had to be replaced. Thankfully, we were stopped in a rest area when discovered and not on the road! this is a safety issue, since the truck could have stalled out at any time while driving. The Ford dealer had the truck for 2 weeks, while working to find and fix this issue.

I was driving down royal palm beach blvd, in royal palm beach, FL. Where the speed limit is 35mph. The van was tailgating and speeding and switching lanes, attempting to get around myself and a truck that was towing a trailer. He was very reckless, and almost rear-ended me on a few occasions. The dot number I got off the back is # 97412-165. The plate number is x25132c. I could not get the full name of the company on the door. But the partial name I got was "assisted/independent living".

I purchased this 28' shasta class c motorhome from a private party. All reciepts from work history were included. Upon the first time out, towing my 1200 lb boat to lake mead ( no significant hills as I live in las vegas ), the motorhome ran beautiful, even up to the point of parking. I came out two days later to start it when I noticed the battery as drained. Upon looking under the hood, I noticed it had caught on fire, burning 2 injectors and other wiring located in the same vacinity. I replaced injectors, relays, fuel pump, all hoses, coil, etc. . . The best guess is the diverter from thermactor may have caused, but regardless this was a factory issue. It still doesn't run, going to replace ecm, inertia sw, etc until it does. Just grateful it didn't burn up everything.
Started the van to pull ahead about 5ft forward in my driveway. As I dropped it into drive the van took off like a bat out of hell. Smashing into my classic corvette pushing it threw the back wall of the garage and almost taking out two of my 2- year old grand children who where playing in the garage at the time. I pulled the van to the right of the garage crashing and burying the van about 8ft deep into the garage wall. Only by the grace of god did the corvette not hit the two grand kids as it sailed through the garage 26 ft and out the back wall. Thousands of dollars of damage to both vehicles and my garage, but thank god my grand kids were not hurt. Ford is putting profit before people by not fixing this problem immediately.

Last July one of my michelin tires (bejhfbxx4909) (ltx ms, lt225/75r16) delaminated then blew out before I could stop, sending rubber all over the road. After changing to my spare I stopped at the first tire place I could find (kearney, ne) and purchased a replacement. While waiting at a restaurant for the tire to be changed the service manager came to the restaurant and told us another of the tires was delaminating and so we replaced that one also. They also checked for recalls and found one that ended for the tire run before mine for the same thing. On 1/29/2015, when I was heading to o'neill, ne, another of the same run of tires delaminated then also blew out, this time doing considerable damage to the wheel well and body work of my van and essentially loosing all rubber except for a 1 foot long segment of tread. This tire still had legal tread and the vehicle had 81,324 miles but the tires had been 5 tire rotated every 5,000 miles since I owned it (about 65,000 miles on "70,000" tires) at the Ford dealership. They always passed the tires as safe. Since 3 out of 5 tires from the same batch delaminated, I changed one remaining tire. I have now replaced 4 of the 5 tires with the 5th as a spare. These tires are dangerous and should be recalled. I have had two of them delaminate and blow out risking lose of control of my vehicle and a third was caught before it could blow up. Had I been going at freeway speeds I may not be writing this.
We were having trouble with the deadbolt on the motorhome off and on and had to use the chassis doors to exit and enter the vehicle. On this particular day we were heading for the beaches in yorktown. Once we arrived we tried to exit the coach and were unable to unlock the deadbolt and the regular lock, so we had to bring everything over the chassis seats to exit the vehicle.
There is a loud "popping" noise when the braking of the van comes to a complete stop. Sometimes I am afraid the van is not going to stop all the way. From what I am reading online, it may be under previous recall for the brake system. I have no idea how to go about getting recall information, etc. To have a Ford dealership fix this problem.
I received a recall notice from michelin north America, inc stating that there was a safety recall on tires. I took my motorhome to autonation Ford in bradenton, FL for replacement since my tires matched the recall numbers (ltx m/s lt 225/75 r16 115/112r b3jh akex 3310). I was told by the Ford service person that my tires were ok, that they did not fall within the affected dated. I called michelin and gave them this same information and was told that my tires were indeed covered under the recall. (dot production periods 0210-2512) I have since called tire kingdom and am waiting for the replacement tires to come in so that they can be replaced. I feel that the Ford dealer does not understand the recall notice, or maybe they do not want to do the replacement, but this constitutes a serious lack of knowledge of the consequences of tire failure.
Traveling east on i20 outside of columbia, SC aprox. 3:30am struck a deer and pull over on emergency lane on and off ramp. Park vehicle and got out to examine the damage. Walked around vehicle looking at damage and as I opened driver door to get falsh light to look underneath van for damage used flash light to look at damage and as I got back up to get in van I steped up on running board on driver side to get back in vehicle and vehicle lunged backwards throwing me to ground. Draging me aprox. 20 feet. I let go of van to roll away from vehicle. Van struck retainer wall and stoped.
