Tank Assembly Problems of Ford E-350

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Ford e350. The contact stated the vehicle losses power when it is accelerated and then stalls. The contact has to wait 30 minutes before the vehicle will restart. The contact stated the failure occurs without warning. The contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer several times, but there has been no solution to the problem. The contact did research and feels the problem is because the fuel tank is delaminating. The failure mileage was 50,800 and the current mileage was 120,000. Rl.

However, based on the information provided by the consumer, the manufacturer did not include this vehicle in the recall although it has all the symptoms as those which are included. After noticing a fuel smell consumer had vehicle inspected and found fuel tank was cracking at seams. There was a recall for fuel tank on 1997-2001 vans, but this model was not included due to VIN.
