Body Problems of Ford E-450

The contact owned a 2015 fiat 500c being towed by a 2005 Ford E-450. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the fiat detached from the Ford at the tow bar without warning. No other vehicles were struck due to the failure. There were no injuries were reported. There was no police report filed. The 2015 fiat 500c was removed from the tow bar and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was destroyed. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturers of the vehicles were notified of the failure. The failure mileage for the 2015 fiat 500 was 134,000. The failure mileage for 2005 Ford E-450 was 125,000.

Driver’s side extended towing mirror (Ford e450 class c RV) began closing back toward door while on interstate at normal speed. I rolled down window to push it back out, and the arm extension and mirror fell down out of the “elbow joint” basically hanging by the electrical cord. Was able to exit interstate. Could not reinstall it. Had to tuck into cab door and wrap a pants belt around the arm and through the hand grip inside the door in order to get home. Dealer has ordered replacement mirror eta 4 weeks or longer.

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Ford E-450 trailered to a 2016 coachmen leprechaun travel trailer. The contact stated that the Ford chassis was unable to handle the weight of the RV. The contact stated that the suspension was not sturdy enough for the weight of the RV. The contact submitted an online complaint to notify the manufacturer of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,600.

I was driving down interstate 90 in south dakota at approx 70mph when a vehicle behind me flashed his lights. I pulled over and dragging behind me by only one hydraulic line was the rear leveling system. This assembly is about 5 feet long and has two hydraulic jacks one on each end. My guess is this weighs over 70lbs. Had this broken loose in the interstate at that speed god only knows what damage that could have caused. . The undamaged bolts were still in the frame. . (see photo 1) it appears to have just come loose over time. . With any kind of lock washer under the nuts or locking system this should never have happened. I disconnected the remaining hydraulic line and put the unit in the storage compartment in the camper(see photo 2).

Or pay an estimate cost to us of 17 thousand dollars to replace the bus. The bus cannot be use for the purpose it was purchased for. We feel the manufacture was negligent for improperly building the bus and the dealer hoglund bus was negligent for selling the bus to us and that they should bare the responsibiltiy of replacing the bus at no charge.

Nhtsa recall 17v550: metro worldwide bus vehicle exceeds gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) when fully loaded. The manufacturer's proposed remedy is to remove seats until the gvwr is in compliance. The manufacturer offered $1,500 per seat removed as compensation. But removing seats dramatically reduces the effectiveness of the bus for its intended purpose. If we knew that the manufacturer couldn't follow through on their promise to provide vehicles meeting required specification, metro worldwide would not have been considered. We believe that the manufacturer was negligent and in violation of the law for improperly building the buses. The dealer, hoglund bus, was also negligent for selling the buses to us that did not comply with NHTSA safety standards. Both the manufacturer and the dealer should bear the responsibility of replacing the buses at no charge. We believe full bus replacement is fair because if we wanted 16, 18 or 20 passenger buses, we could have gotten them cheaper from other manufacturers than the 22 passenger buses metro worldwide promised.

Avi foodsystems vehicle # [xxx] is a danger on the road it is not federally inspected and you can see the truck is a hazard. I feel bad for the driver everytime I see her come to our account. She is risking her life driving that vehicle. This truck has ohio plates and is in erie,PA I wanted to inform d. O. T. Anonymously. Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford E-450. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, a rattling noise emitted from the vehicle and the front "slide-out" disengaged independently without a warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the failure was duplicated but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred numerous times. The manufacturer was notified about the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,500.
