The local dealer was contacted and determined that the parts are not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the parts were not available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

2 Electrical System problem of the 2022 Ford E-450

Failure Date: 05/07/2022

The contact owns a 2022 forest river forester built on a Ford f-450 chassis. When the contact arrived at her destination and she turned on the propane she would smell propane inside the cabin of the RV. The contact stated she would smell propane outside as well. The contact stated that twice the CO alarm had activated after turning on the propane to heat the hot water tank. Additionally, the contact had stated that the main access door to the RV will become jammed. The contact stated that she had the door repaired three times and the door had failed three times. The door cannot be opened from the inside or the outside. And finally, the contact was having a night vision problem with a motion sensor activated entrance step light that is aimed at the interior steps at the entrance, the light is mounted on the wall. However the light would intermittently activate when she would hit a bump and the beam of light would shine directly at the driver. The contact stated that during night driving the light would diminish her night vision and had made night driving dangerous for her. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the there were no leaks with the propane system. The failure with the door had been repaired three times and the door had failed after repairs. The contact stated that the dealer advised her to cover the step light with duct tape to block the light. The vehicle had been partially repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

3 Electrical System problem of the 2017 Ford E-450

Failure Date: 09/23/2018

2017 Ford econoline super duty van. Consumer writes with concerns for multiple malfunctions and safety issues with vehicle. The consumer stated the manual jack control completely stopped working. The screws holding the slide out to the RV body sheared off on the outside front of the unit. The damage to the living area increased to three areas. The manufacturer was notified of a steering problem and advised the cause was due to oversized after market tires. The RV exhibited water damage from when it rains. The roof ac/heat vent was frozen, the radio plays without being prompted, the awning split, the drawers do not open/closed, and the windows were not framed. The toilet neck, wheel base and dump opening cut out were not properly aligned.

7 Electrical System problem of the 2006 Ford E-450

Failure Date: 03/13/2014

The preliminary report regarding the fire onboard a commonwealth of massachusetts soldiers home owned handicapped transportation bus indicates the fire cause may have been electrical in nature. The vehicle in question is a 2006 Ford e- 450. An odor of smoke was reported by the driver, enio lopez, just after assisting a veteran onto the bus at the chelsea soldiers home. Upon reporting the odor of smoke, the driver was instructed to remove the veteran from the vehicle and shut the vehicle down. The fleet service administrator for the chelsea soldiers home, upon investigating the odor of smoke located a fire in the right front of the bus in the electrical panel. They contacted the chelsea fire department and grabbed the extinguisher onboard to attempt to extinguish the fire and prevent further damage. Upon discharging the extinguisher, the fire did not go out and seemed to be intensifying also smoke and flames were visible from the engine compartment. A campus security officer responding to calls for more extinguishers assisted themin fighting the fire. Two more extinguishers were provided to them and by an environmental services supervisor and employee. Chelsea fire department arrived on seen and finished extinguishing the fire, disconnecting the battery and overhauling the interior of the bus to extinguish the remaining pockets of fire. Once the fire was completely extinguished the bus was turned back over to the commonwealth of massachusetts soldiers home and was towed to its current location behind vinnie¿s place.

10 Electrical System problem of the 2005 Ford E-450

Failure Date: 04/11/2009

I have a 2005 Ford e450 cutaway 6. 0l diesel engine and it will shutdown completely during normal driving conditions. This condition was diagnose by a certified mechanic as a problem w/ ficm & pcm computers both where replaced by us. The problem continues and after long hours of research found recall campaign (05v270000) call Ford and they informed me this vehicle was not included in the recall. This failure occurs aprox. 15 min after driving at normal speeds. We have employees who drive this vehicle and were close to have very serious consequences that can cause major injuries to the public and our employees.
