Two problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1997 Ford Econoline. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Was traveling approximately 25mph when another vehicle suddenly rearended Econoline 250. The driver's & passenger's seat belts failed to restrain occupants, resulting in injuries. Driver was taken to emergency room for treatment.
The seat belts in the front driver and passenger seats do not retract adequately enough to remove any slack across the chest and shoulder area.
